@Heisenberg-SchrodingerEmc2 Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida are a hotbed for recruiting. A big reason why clemson has had so much success. While I agree that Florida produces the best players, I would argue that GA and SC produce the best per capita as they have about 1/2 and 1/4 of Florida's population and still typically have a couple of 5 star and loads of 4 star recruits every year.

@Steve But 9 out of the last 10 years the national championship had been either the ACC or SEC.. every conference has a great team, middle of the road teams and a few really bad teams. All the teams that UM said we're traditionally good have brand new or relatively new coaches. People hate to give credit where credit is due. If OSU wins, all due respect will be given, but if they lose again, the "experts" need to stop propping up the Big 10 like it's the days of old.

True enough, but it's annoying how much they duck having a tough nonconference. If they would just schedule an Oregon or an Oklahoma; especially with how weak the ACC is in football.

Showstorm I think we should wait a little longer before talking about a move. Really just to see where the other ACC teams end up. I think Florida State will be back to winning in a couple of years and UVA is on the rise. Not entirely sure about Miami lol. Even UNC is making strides to get back to their 2015 form. The ACC is in a recruiting hotbed and I think we should give it a few recruiting classes before we just abandon ship. But that’s just me.

@Showstorm true enough and I like that idea! Maybe do what college basketball does with the different challenges between the power conferences where you schedule two teams that had similar records in each conference. That'll still leave room for a couple of cupcakes but would also force the more elite programs to take more chances.

have you ever watched nfl or nba or any other sport besides college football ? you will find out they ALL have a playoffs system where ALL divisions or conferences are included. CFB is the only sport in the world where they vote for the champion. I will say and most CFB fans say the same thing that this is the first year where we have a clear top 4 . But with that said four of the ten toughest schedules this year belong to the SEC, more than any other conference. The results of this season are showing how delusionally incorrect on this you are. "what has the sec done to separate itself from everyone else lately?" - If LSU wins the national championship, the SEC will have had 5 Nattys in the last Decade split between 3 teams. No other conference is close to those numbers. - The SEC is the only conference to have a participant every year of the playoff and the only conference to produce two playoff teams in a given year. - There are a ton of other reasons but is pointless to keep going. The SEC is hands down the best conference if you are looking at this year, and this decade.
