I watched this clip again and couldn’t believe how well Emma read Sakari’s serves. She moved to the direction right after Sakari tossed the ball and returned them beautifully. Her court awareness is unbelievable. No wonder she won.

Emma's reaction by dropping her racket when she won was epic. Her hands over her head in a state of fairy tale unbelievable moment reminded me of the GOAT in football, Tom Brady when he won his first ring. I got that same feeling with Emma Raducanu. She will become the goat of tennis imo
@miketols5420

Oddly similar trajectory. Tom gets his break when Bledsoe was taken out, gets the Pats to the playoffs, then wins his 1st SB in his 2nd season Emma only gets into her first GS at Wimbledon via a wild card, gets to the 4th round, then enters her 2nd GS at the US Open and wins. Let's hope she has as many GS Final wins and appearances as TB12 does SBs so far.

It’s Emma’s ability to continue to apply pressure at the right times. It’s the ability to return every serve regardless whether it’s first or second, and with interest. Her mental strength to forget the point she’s played and focus on the next one. She did that to everyone she played, dismantled Rogers who’d just beaten Ash Barty, dismantled Bencic Olympic champ, ripped apart Sakkari most in-form player this year & then dominates the final against someone who beat Kerber & Osaka. Looks like the Greek girl knew who was best & it certainly wasnt her or her Karkie Skirt. Although confess l did like that. The English lass has Champion written all over her game. With that serve she will win a ton of Big Tournements - mentally she reminds me of Chris Evert, what more need be said.

Solid fundamental girl Emma beats muscle girl Maria. Emma's all strokes and moves look just beautiful, and the two volleys are absolutely better than most in WTA.
@darthwiizius

Maria's game seems to rely on being in the middle punching power shots to force her opponent back but is weak if she gets forced to move around and play at high speed.
@boke75
@boke75 2 роки тому
@@darthwiizius Disappointed Maria with what like 6, 7 full years of wta tour-level experience couldn't cope with a virutal neophyte junior-level Emma. And Maria saying the young guns absolutely took it to the veterans rings false. What, like she wasn't gunning for it, too ? Truth is, I think the new girl moves very well and maybe Maria felt pressure to go for the lines...a sure-fire way to get a bucket-load of UFE's. And sure enough both had the same # of winners but Maria had twice as many UFE's as Emma. Another Shapovalov.
