I thought like you Valerie I was going to die alone minus the pets when I met someone many years ago. I wasn’t ready at all to meet him and wasn’t interested in meeting anyone at all to be honest with you. For some reason he stuck and I guess the timing was right. Changed my outlook on life 100% and I do believe God answered my prayers one night when all I ever asked for was a very good friend I could share my thoughts with and do fun stuff with and laugh a lot so I could be less depressed. He too is 10 years younger just to say that I never ever saw that coming. Came out of left field honestly and that is another reason I hesitated but when the timing is right it is out of your hands.

For someone who had one article after another written abt her on how horrible her divorce was and how terrible her ex was and how she was glad her divorce was over and that she was ready to carry on alone with her weight issues... she sure bounced back quickly! I think that for some reason, Valerie needs to be the center of attention all the time, and feel relevant. Sounds like a serious self esteem issue... Glad she's moving on and happy, but no one cares abt her love life.

I wasn't looking to get married again either. I had married very young and right away things fell apart. I met another man and married him without really getting to know him either. It was a disaster-I found out he was in trouble with the law, and he had no interest in my family. When I met my now, third husband I convinced myself that it would never work-he was 8 years younger than me, and I already knew I couldn't have children so I figured he wouldn't be interested. He certainly fooled me. I found out on our wedding day from his best friend that the day he met me, he told his friend that he was going to marry me. Here we are 30+ years later, still madly in love despite the fact we're now old and wrinkled. I couldn't be happier for Valerie! She deserves this so much. I wish her nothing but happiness and joy with Michael.
