Robinson looks like a beast! And Thompson looked good too. His footwork is definitely sloppy and his stride is way too big, but give him time to clean that up and he’ll be another good Texas qb!

@@terminatorx6766 what’s your point? since when is 4-1 bad? At 5 games Texas was 3-2 and ended up losing 3. Plus the other team is irrelevant, footwork and fundamentals in the pocket wouldn’t be that different if they were playing Bo Diddley Tech, or Oklahoma.

Two things. 1. Texas could have put up more if Bijan wasn’t abandoned in the second quarter. 2. I don’t think Texas puts up 55 with Sam still as QB in this game.

I will say this - when a backup comes in, sometimes they do surprisingly well because there was never a lot of film for the other team to study and they were prepping for the starter QB anyway. If Casey starts every game next year, he probably won't keep dominating like this - same thing happened with Shane Buechele. (Not at all saying he sucks, he's obviously good and I'm excited to see him play some more, but it's going to be tougher next year.)

But the reason why Texas fans were singing his praises last night is because some of the passes that Casey were making are the passes Sam has struggled in his entire career at Texas. Don’t get me wrong. Great warrior with tons of heart. Will forever will a Longhorn. But the pass that Casey made to Dixon hitting him in stride are the passes Sam struggled in.

Hopefully, OU will be really good next year as Rattler will have his ducks in a row. Texas should have won the BigXII this year, and they should have enough talent to possible win it and maybe go to the playoff in the next 2-3 years but I still have huge doubts in Hermans ability to get out of his own way. He is insanely stubborn and coaching was the reason they lost this year. Sam stuggled in the mid to late season. so hopefully Casey comes out strong but the scheme and player rotation issues are still on the coaches. Those have to change or Texas will drop a couple games again next year that they shouldnt.

Hopefully somebody can get with Robinson and help his 40 time, I think I saw he runs like near a 4.8 and it shows him getting caught by behind so many times this game. Get that down to 4.5 and those 40-60 yard runs he's caught at the 20 turns into 80 yard TD runs.

The Gatorade shower at the end doesn't show that the team gave up Tom Herman. All those reports of players telling recruits not to come to Texas. Sounds like if anything that some of the top tier talent, entitled kids were displeased with Herman's style of coaching. Not just strength but touch and timing. I will always be glad Sam was there. He was the right man for the job at the time but he hit his ceiling last year. His toughness definitely won them some games but his late and inaccurate passing also cost them some. Its still way to early to anoint Casey, but the mere sight of a dude that can quickly get the ball out on time and actually hit a WR in stride over the top was beautiful to see.

Colorado only had 5 games and could only bring 50 scholarship players. They will be improved next year. They played hard all game and did not quit.

This game is a perfect indicator of where the Pac 12 is. Their second or third best team got absolutely obliterated by the Big 12’s fourth best team. They need to take away P5 status from the Pac12 and give it to the American.

Texas is 4th best in the standings but probably best or second best talent wise. Okie, Texas, Iowa State and Okie Lite - any of those teams would be Pac 12 champs easily. Lets see what Iowa State does with Oregon.
