I think you should go into the "van" conversion business!! Jaylena, already has a headstart on you!! Not to ruffle any feathers, but, I think you, Isaac, are lost and don't know what to do next!! You bought this new place that's all yours, with a beautiful shop, where you have all the room for all your tools to work on your conversions!! Why can't you see how perfect of a setup you have?? You can also do music on the side. You also could enclose the bottom of the little house on the end ,for a spray bay!! People totally underestimate hourly jobs. Especially, if you have a management personality. I worked Many years with children - working for Kelly Temps. Still did side gigs. My husband has the Office Politics skills, managements skills and worked 55 to 60 hours a week. Then, both of “hitting” our chosen work that we were good at: we never had to ask for money. I’m glad others have that option, but we just worked, and worked some more. Parents, passed away NO inheritance. None. Just to sum up: Issac you are a man of many many talents. Jaylena a woman of many talents. You both have very personable, dry humor people. Your combination is going to succeed. I like the “skip around” subjects! Keep your Faith STRONG in yourself. BRING BACK THE BUILDS!!!! WE MISS YOUR TALENT!!! I still think there's a huge need for an alacart service for vans. When I was doing my 2021 Sprinter 170 wb I only needed certain pieces hired out. That would be a quick way for you to get short jobs done and fast pay! Meanwhile build your full builds at your own pace and creativity!!!! I think it's really tough to only specialize in one length of a sprinter van though. That might really limit yourself. I'M SO PUMPED - GET BACK OUT THERE!!! PLEASE!!!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Great video to inform people of pros and cons of building and businesses for vans and buses. I would like the ability to buy a layout , (kit) finished colors or wood and put it together like a puzzle. . It would have to be size smaller than a sprinter. Bigger than Mindys Ninth .I only have a car port for parking . Would also be for everyday use. Not just camping. . Im sure someone is doing this , not sure for the East coast. Issac, you hit the nail on the head re: not charging hourly! My business is another industry entirely, but billing for value, not time, is something I preach to my colleagues and association members all the time. One of the biggest reasons is that when you bill by hours, you automatically penalize yourself financially the better and faster you are when you should really be getting paid more for those values. Good on you for being such an astute business person!

You can fix Older RVs too. Lots of people are buying the older ones. Better body etc. Rebuild for people who already own. Paying you to refurbish.

My personal preference would be to take on customer based builds of whatever vehicle they have be it bus/van/rv or suv remember you have the final say whether you take on the job or not and as soon as they accept your offer to do the job you start earning and have the safety net of not losing your own money. Also you will have lots of things to film and also earn with youtube along the way. You can work on more than one vehicle at a time if you are lucky enough to get multiple clients and you never know when you could get a bargain van or bus of your own to work on. Remember these are just my thoughts and you will do what is right for you and your family

You knew what worked and what didn’t by the time you did d the bug bus build. You have great talent that God has blessed you with, your wisdom Is phenomenal. I do not believe in luck I believe in Blessings that come from the Lord God I myself believe that yea there maybe money in the van rebuilds but would you get tired of Repetition of doing the same over and over again. That it would not be a challenge any longer because when you did the Bus builds, there was always the challenge of what can we do differently where we can where can we put style into it? You Jaylena & Ember are so blessed especially to be at a young age as you are not all have gone as far as you two have as young as you are. You Issac remind me of my young 31 year old son who at 29 years bought a home refurbished it and a Ram 1500 on a plumbers pay. It just traded hie Ram in for a brand new GMC quad cab. He is now working for CSX. May the Lord God show you your next steps in your path of success. Also, study how to bank a fire in those stoves it will help keep the heat, you will use less wood, & it will burn slower. Love you & your family Issac!

Go for it Issac, I vote for school bus convertion. If you help your customer find the bus or van, they buy and you convert. You could still do it the other way but I know that when you build mine I want you to have also help me find the right bus. And you have free rain as far as what you do. And yes I want a short bus. I,m putting my mobile up for sale in May and want you to build me a bus! When you figure it out, put me on your list!

Probably because you were building as able between other work and as money availed itself. Also, the intention was that you would keep it for your own so there wasn't a huge push to deliver. I think your biggest obstacle is always going to be on the selling side. You have mad skills and good work ethics, so I think you are covered on the building side. I think you should specialize in "Conversions". I think your end product is always amazing but not even close to being affordable for some people. Maybe if you converted an old rv or an old toy hauler. I liked the camper truck that you did on a budget. Opening the affordability gap will bring in more customers and viewers. I really think a trash to treasure on wheels would be a great route for your channel, too. Have you ever thought about doing buslife repair? You could have some supplies that break often in stock and buslife crowd could hire you to fix their issue or buy the parts from you. You have your mechanic friend who could maybe help with rig issues, maybe? You could be by appointment. Maybe rent a space to park for the night. It seems like finding good bus help is difficult in the community. You could be of assistance in a profitable way... and make a video of it all... just some ideas to float out there. You do you! I think doing short bus conversions will start to be a thing & larger vans like Ambulances. Etc. So We love watching you build & explain stuff & it's up to you but many out there > I know > knowing nothing> getting vans & short busses. 😉. Thank you Isaac, you do light up when you talk about building out bus's. I did the same when remodeling house's I loved all of it. I have watched you for years It would be nice if you could turn one of those space's there on your property into a rental for the money to start building again. I used to go to the rebuilder center here in Portland and buy what I needed to to remodel it does not take much Isaac maybe 1500 to make a studio and rent it for for 1500 utilitys paid. Sinors are the best they have the money and always pay also older men never complain they just pay on time every time and they never move mine have been with me for nine years or so Men don't want much they just want there cat a tv and for the most part just want to be left alone. At 71 years old now cash flow is key to a stress free life. Hugs to you and yours.

Van Because I see a lot of Vans going into campsites that are easier to get in and out. 19’ foot and smaller are so much easier to get in shopping centers. Not only for Vanlife or people who use for recreational activities vs vanlife home life. But also for 🚐 Vans for mobility purposes. People use to transport Seniors everywhere. To airport or hospital visits. I saw a van used to wash and detail other vans! In a shopping center! Vans to transport pets to groomers or pet grooming vans. Vans for Mobile beauty or catering. So many other uses. We love our American coach with Lithium package, solar, toilet with masserator and diesel heater. Paid a lot for it. But if you can make something like that to be able to go off grid. With basic layout and look like your bus build. That would be amazing!

I would say if you’re going to get back into a building business go for the vans. Where I live most insurance companies so no to any busses that have been built into rv like vehicles.

Maybe try building for people but do what I do in my business $60.00/hr They supply vehicle All parts/supplies/labour is billed out every two weeks. If the bill you send out isn’t paid within a couple days you stop working on it. And make sure you are very clear on that before you start ! Give everyone a high estimate to be safe and only pick the jobs that you know are going to pay the bills on time. Etransfer only takes a couple minutes so there’s no excuses nowadays not to have the time to pay a bill. We own a few businesses and have ran one of them for 25 years so I know all about trying to keep the money rolling to pay your own bills. I just think that as soon as you own your own business people think you are rich and don’t really need the money anymore. Also check out wilderness vans in Lethbridge Canada which is where I live….they have been very successful at building vans and I now see they are building big overland vehicles. Everything is cnc cut and high quality.

I wish you both would work on your home. With weather changing and gas prices up and down. But you have a family now it nice to take a trip here and there is fun for family and videos. The money your pouring into a build for bus or van could be used for your home. Ember will be ready for school before you know it. This will be more expensive so now is the time to invest in your home. Try and get sponsorships for tools, and things for house repairs its out there. Your music is awesome. The world has changed since you began way back building busses. It’s no longer doable or desired. However , van builds are because people can work their careers…yet enjoy scooting out for “Vanning camping weekends or trips and they can park a Van in their driveway. Plus get around just in town and even haul things ……it’s just more widely used than busses and will be with this economy and country that’s been nearly destroyed …..that’s another topic…if you’re rethinking getting back into the building game …..these are a much faster turnaround with a larger group of buyers then any short bus or busses period. You both are good at this too. You can do one here and there to supplement income. Heck you can’t even get busses into mechanics anymore or get parts hardly it appears on a lot of channels.

Van/bus/RV market has tanked since you last sold the rigs. Ain't no profit in it anymore

It's all about the math first what is competition?new rvs etc which are overpriced and are junk .so there a lot of room for a affordable quality product
