Updated instruction: Moon Player has a new update. Now you can go directly to my UKposts channel playlists on their front page - browser - Hugh Hou (purple background). Then, the first VR180 playlist is what you should try first. Click any video on that list, and it will say, "Please Wait..." on the UKposts address bar. This depends on your Internet as all my videos are big in size (so they are high quality - it is a tradeoff). Coupled second later it will start to play. But it won't start to play immediately! It will has 0:01 in the video length as the player is getting metadata from UKposts. It takes 2 seconds. Then it will show the actual length of the video and start to play. For the VR180 playlist, pick Left and Right, the VR180. Enjoy! For VR 360 dance playlist, pick Top and Bottom and VR 360. Comment on this comment if you still have a problem playing them.

I don’t get it. I try to load any in the 180 playlist, and after it tries for so long to load, all it says is “play fail”. In Apple TV settings i have high quality turned on. I have a 1tb model, with over 100mbps internet, and the moonplayers player won’t load. so no additional video options. Just at the top spinning wheel followed by play fail. I’ve force quit, restarted, everything

I have always hoped that more people can feel the shock and beauty brought by VR3D180 and 360 perspective. When visonpro was first released, I was really disappointed to learn that it could not watch UKposts180 videos, but now My expectations have been rekindled! So cool that you figured it out!!! Yay!! So excited to check out our videos in this headset! So is VR 360 a label UKposts is using not for 3D360 for only stereoscopic videos now? There are so many 360 videos where the motion is not controlled for VR. Hmmm, that might hurt me as a VR developer that gets headaches from stereoscopic videos. Darn it..🤨🧐😓

VR 360 is just a label they use to call it but it is all 360 video using this label. So both mono or stereo 360 will work on this.

Hugh! It worked like a charm! I thought I might test it out on some recorded Disney Rides on UKposts in 4K. They look much better on the Vision Pro than on my Oculus Go, but still pretty rough. Many factors can cause this, but the app doesn't have a resolution option, but I think it's picking the highest one, fingers crossed. Much cheaper than going out to Disney World and better than standing in long lines :) Some of the videos wouldn't play, like a tour of the now torn down Disney Star Wars hotel. And some stopped before they completed, but I'm still SO HAPPY! Well worth the $5 asking price for the app. Thank you! vgv

It seems to only work for some VR180 UKposts videos, and that too the same video later just opens mono 2d with no way to open SBS. And some YT VR180 videos don’t play at all. Hopefully this gets fixed. Also they need to secure the browser so you can sign in with your Google account.

I actually did not login and just use the browser as player. I tested all my VR180 videos work. So other YT VR180 video does not work maybe they are not following the UKposts encoding standard?

Yes, you can watch them without logging in. But even with some of your videos, it would initially open them with the option of selecting “left/right” and “vr180,” but on subsequent viewings it would just open a mono 2d version- on the same video. Or sometimes not open them at all, stuck on “0:00.” Happens for me on your video Dolce Mia, for example.

@@hughhou Just as a heads up, I have exactly the same problem. None of your videos play using Moon player successfully, currently. I either get it in Mono/non 180, or it hangs at 0:00 entirely. I've never seen it show SBS on moon player.

It is HEVC limited to 4K as Google decide anything 8K they use AV1. So Apple decoder does not support AV1 yet. That is why only 8K source stream is supported in Quest using Skybox VR Player. AV1 support is very limited and Google is actually leading the game on that front but not everyone is following that standard. So best quality is still download 8K hevc to watch on AVP. At least now you don't have to download if you just want to preview something quick.

app not working, vision is on 1.1. when i click on any of your videos if i click on the play button on the top of screen i get "play failed" but if i cluck on the play button on screen it plays video but it plays in web browser

I have followed your guidance, however, the video doesn't look 8k sharp when playing in Moon Player (I selected the highest resolution on UKposts). Is it because of the limitation of Moon Player? Thanks.

That is the limitation of encoder - as AV1 probably not support on Apple devices and UKposts only stream 4K hevc and anything 8K it switch to AV1. Vision Pro need to support AV1.

Didn’t work at all for me. Vision is 1.1, deleted and reloaded moon player with same result. When vr is supposed to start, player freezes and shows 0 second next to play button. Force quit try again, same result…

Have you tested my VR180 video and having the same issue? This can be a buffer issue as the video is not being fully loaded. Also might need to enable high qualtiy playback using wifi on AVP - this will also help your regular video viewing on Apple TV.

What is not working? Have you tried my VR180 playlist to make sure it is not the problem of the VR video you are trying? Also did you update both to the latest OS?

You does not have the ability to choose quality right now and I am not sure it will ever play 8K as 8K source. Meaning the source of my video is 8K but since Apple do not have AV1 supports (even rumor said they are coming), it can only take UKposts hevc which is maxed out in 4K. Moon Player take that logic out of you and just give you the best quality they can support to you. So by default it is the highest quality AVP can play. But the display is so much better so even 4K it is a lot better than UKposts VR 4K on Quest 3

This is not a hack -- you're using an app. Only issue is, it doesn't work for many of us-- I suspect it's a version mismatch issue and many of us just aren't getting the latest version of Moon Player yet (guessing) -- Hugh - -which version of Moon Player are you using?
