Most of us Trump supporters are exactly like this... just not as articulate with our words or ability to express them. However the sad truth is that by supporting neither you end up helping the republicans far far more than the democrats (low voter turnout tends to result in right wing parties winning more). The two party system basically boils down to voting against the party you dislike the most. I wish democrats were more progressive than they are, but I despise the republicans and everything they stand for. Therefore it is in my best interests to vote democrat. If dems win more and more then we can start to have more nuanced discussions of which direction do we want the party to go. For the time being preventing republicans from having power has to be the main focus sadly

I agree that we should have conversations. Its really difficult to have those because the moment you disagree, you are called "ist", "phobe" or have an "ism". Its also really difficult to have conversations with people who think you need deprogrammed and are hurling insults at your side.
