@@cplcabs the front is huge, it's longer than the borders of some EU countries, and there are different priorities. But that doesn't exclude all sorts of corruption and sabotage, also from the govt, that still has plenty of pro-russian elements in it, even on the highest levels. Ukraine desperately needs Western control over the money and help it receives. As it needs Western help to push through with proper lustration and the much needed democratic reforms.

My understanding Bakhmut is of strategic value, hence the Russians putting a lot of effort into taking the place and as such the Ukrainians should be giving these guys as much as possible but from that guys reaction it seems not the case. Without doubt the equipment, money and help Ukraine receives needs to be accounted for otherwise a lot of it is going into politicians pockets and some even to Russia. I don't think it will be long before we see a Leopard or Challenger tank in Russian hands.

It's called "high angle" it drops the round closer but rather than striking a target at a lateral angle it lands more from above, much better for use against trenches and buildings. If at a lower angle, there would be buildings, trees, high ground in the projectiles path, these are considered "crests" which the round may detonate upon before reaching its target. Same theory for all indirect weapons - artillery, rockets etc. The closer the target is the steeper the barrel would be, or if in "Low Angle" the more horizontal it would be. Think of throwing a ball at a 1ft square 40m away, you could throw straight towards it, with a little elevation to take gravity into account, or lob it up high at a steep angle so it would drop onto it from above.
