I had this telephone theory when I was in a college religion's class and I had thought that what if there was truth behind all major, older religions, and if you take all of the similarities and sorta combine any, even small, similarities of every religion around the world, amd y9u sorta recreate a religion based on all of the worlds historic religious similarities, then you can possibly get the closest to the truth we've got to our creation. I wonder if we can trace back the spread of religion and see where it all began

Tbh I think the end result would be a shit show. Any single religion already contradicts itself, so meshing them all together would be very messy

@@slimey_K I'm not talking about meshing them all together literally. I'm saying if we take all the similarities of religions through out all time, we can theoretically trace back to where religion started and what religion started as. It could have been some cross breed of Christian beliefs, with beliefs of reincarnation as well as worshipping nature, etc. That my question, not if we can make a new religion and if that would work 🤣 I'm talking about tracing back the origins of religion. Comparing and seeing if all religions, originally branched from one original religion and what that religion would look like. And possibly that original religion could be the closest to the truth we have about our creation

It's videos like this that make me like Joe. His take on it is exactly mine and the way he explains it is almost verbatim what I've often said. So it's hard for me sometimes to square this very rational Joe with crazy right wing Joe. 😮
