If Tyson in his prime had trouble knocking out Ribalta (although it was a TKO) and despite the fact that he hit him with all his power, combinations, and gave it his all in that fight (said by himself) and still Ribalta kept getting up and giving battle, imagine Mike facing Muhammad Ali. Ribalta is not even 20% of what Ali was, and Tyson himself said that he was his toughest opponent. I love Tyson, but if in his prime he couldn't knock out boxers like Tony tucker, James smith, James tillis or Mitch green, there was little he could have done against a boxer as intelligent as Ali and who faced rivals like Liston x2, Frazier and Norton x3, Foreman, Ron Lyle, Shavers, Jerry Quarry etc.
@JewandGreekРік тому
It wasn't ESP. It was training. Tyson went through lengthy sessions in the gym where he did nothing but defensive moves. It looks magical because he was so good. Ali was also great at dodging punches when he was young. As he got older he wasn't so good and started clenching his opponents. You saw what happened with Tyson when he got older and slower. The part that makes Tyson so terrifying is he is still hitting just as fast and hard in the late rounds as he was in the first round, with deadly accuracy.
