One BIG error - yacht charters are NEVER "all included". They always are chartered at a base rate, PLUS all "Chargeable Expenses", meaning virtually everything that goes into the guest service, and certainly both fuel and dockage. These expenses typically raise the actual cost of the charter by circa 1.25 to 1.5 times the base rate. Geoff Rohde
@maxsdad538

Many yacht charters are 'all inclusive", with a somewhat structured itinerary. Why don't you GOOGLE before you say something next time?
@geoffrohde2886
@geoffrohde2886 2 роки тому
@@maxsdad538 Why don't you just get serious instead? What makes you think that fuel is free, let alone marina docking fees also? At which point, you can also try doing some simple arithmetic sometime - like for instance, if you cut the time in between two points to half, you have to double to speed to do it, and IF the boat is even capable of it, that will certainly raise the fuel costs to something a good bit more like four times the previous value (i.e. - NO, it is NOT a linear relationship!). Ergo - the only way that charters are ever going to be specified as being "All inclusive", is if a charter agency has already made those specifications in advance, and then offered them to prospective clients as such. That may well be done - and by somebody who does know what they're doing. You may verify anything which I have said with any of the boat management brokers. Geoff Rohde
@guerrillaentrepreneur5999
@guerrillaentrepreneur5999 2 роки тому
@@maxsdad538 All-Inclusive Yacht Charters - Some charters (mainly catamaran and mono-hull charters in the Virgin Islands) offer all-inclusive rates. That means rates are based on the number of guests, and they include all food and drink, water sports, and fuel costs. Docking fees and taxes, though, are usually charged separately. Plus Expenses Charters - Rates for larger motor yachts do not include running expenses, which must be paid separately. For these luxury charters, the base price is for the yacht only. Additional expenses, i.e. food, bar, fuel, docking fees, port taxes, and other expenses, are charged separately. Most frequently, the running expenses are paid by an Advance Provisioning Allowance, or APA, which is typically 35% of the base price; this is an amount that’s paid prior to the charter. The Yacht - The year the boat was built, the builder, previous owners, and the boat’s selection of water toys can also increase the cost of a yacht. Boats can also develop a reputation, i.e. the largest or most luxurious, or having a famous builder or previous owner. Reputation can also affect pricing. Season - Prices typically increase in the high season - i.e. high summer in the Mediterranean or winter in the Caribbean - and decrease in low seasons. Destination - Your charter destination also plays a role in charter cost. For example, prices increase in areas without large charter fleets (i.e. the Galapagos), whereas Bahamas yacht charters, BVI charters, or Mediterranean yacht charter are priced more competitively.

They smile on camera but last time I was in Monaco I saw a few multi millionaires with huge yachts and one must have been a billionaire. Not one of them looked happy, they all looked really angry and stressed and were doing nothing, just strolling along with a bunch of glorified prostitutes and "friends". I thought meh, maybe I've just happened to see them at a bad time. A few hours later, driving out of Monaco and stopping to get petrol, there was a guy in cream Armani and Ralph Lauren yelling at an attendant to be careful with his car - a bright lime green Ferrari. The attendant hadn't even gone near the stupid thing yet. I can't even imagine how awful it would be getting so stressed out about insane property like that.. It'd also be near impossible to make and maintain any kind of genuine relationships with anybody also, and sex with prostitutes would get old very quickly. I always thought that if I ever managed to make huge amounts of money somehow that I'd probably try to keep it as secret as possible rather than flashing my wealth to everyone.

The difference in wealth between the rich and the middle class these days is staggering. It wasn't like this 30-40 years ago. I grew up in a slightly upper-middle class household. We had a veteran NFL football player who lived just a few houses up from us. They were definitely the wealthiest family on the block, but they weren't anything like NFL families today. Their house was slightly bigger, they had nicer cars and they took better vacations. That was about it. Same goes for CEOs back then compared to today. Gordon Gecko would be a small fry by today's standards.

Hell no. This is insane. If anything, the middle class has never had higher standards of life. The only difference is that we now get to see how rich people actually live, which makes a huge difference. You can thank tabloids and instagram for that, but regardless, a 2024 dude basically has the same access to resources as a russian oligarch, in terms of heating, access to food supply chains and information. You didn't want to be middle-class 200 years ago when the Vanderbilts were the richest kind around, the wealth gap was inhumane and you just had to deal with it because there was no information for the masses. These days? poor people are getting a break and they should feel lucky.

Well pretty much nobody is getting a yacht for anything other than just pleasure. But doesn’t mean that at that level it is just a waste of money. It gives them access to the most exclusive yacht clubs, it’s a conversation starter and in short is great for networking, getting advice, etc. Also a lot of people sleep better on a yacht which makes them more productive and healthier. So why wouldn’t you if you’re at the point where money has no value anymore

@@Ikerpasillas11 lol 😂 he tried to get us to sympathise for him cause he had to take more photos of a yacht. Bitch please. You shouldn't be complaining about a god damn thing if you're that guy.

i mean hes not really complaining... like he KNOWS he has a good gig. he even said it, hes just saying that its not as easy/glamorous as it might seem from all the pictures, as in he IS doing "work" (however easy).

@@Synky except it's as easy and glamorous as it sounds, taking pictures (and not even photographer level, just point and shoot). The hardest part of his job is making *two* video walkthroughs of a super yacht. He can try and downplay it as much as he wants but he's getting paid to do what white girls at parties do for free

@@ClayChapman0 I don't know man. I mean the minute you are doing something you don't want to be doing it becomes work. The dude, anyone really, doesn't want to be touring yachts and taking photos/videos non stop. I'm sure it gets old like anything else. So, yeah, it's a job and he is working. Maybe it isn't the hardest job in the world but it is a job.

very true, owning an expensive Yacht is nothing new. What is new, the wealthy are taking it to a ridiculous level now with some owning Billion dollar yachts -- that offer the ability to travel the world for years, having the submarines, helipads and other amenities usually only available in 5 Star Hotels.
