I have 10 Ferrari's at the present time, Including a LaFerrari and an Enzo also a 330 P4 and a 512 M, F-50 and a 250 GTO along with several others.They cost me nearly 200 dollars off ebay. Yeah they're Hot Wheels but it's the closest I'll ever get to the real thing.

I learned about Ferrari’s policies in 2002 when I went to buy a Modena. The sales person was very kind and let me test drive it when I moved to Florida in 2001, still waiting for my professional license (I’m sure he vetted my story) and no high-paying job (yet). Raymond, I’ll never forget him. Anyway, I finally went to the dealer…I was told I couldn’t order a new car, but I had to lease 4 (FOUR) cars, over 1-2 years in order to be ELIGIBLE. Drove to the Porsche dealer and bought a less-maintenance-dependent and abuse-tolerant Porsche Turbo which I turned into a track car. Very good choice. Low maintenance costs and can take track duty really well.

@@njelegenda McLaren isn't going bankrupt. They almost went bankrupt, but that was because of the virus. Ferrari is very profitable because their cars are extremely expensive, you're paying more for the brand and the exclusivity than the materials required to make the car.

I keep hearing from several videos, review websites, and word of mouth at some of the Cars & Coffee events I go to that McLaren is awesome about getting you _into_ one of their cars, but after that the customer support and service is supposedly god awful. Now, I don't know if that's at all true, internet being the internet and all, but there are an awful lot of forum threads and owners groups saying that they are disappointed with how poor the after-sale support is.

In April 2022, there was a sports car exhibition at my college (Pune, India). The fleet of cars included McLaren 720s, Aventador S, Huracan Performante, Maserati GT, Porsche 911s, Maybach, AMGs, Audi R8s and other brilliant cars, I pondered why there isn't a single Ferrari (not even something like a Portofino) in here and now after watching this video I got the answer.

Not really. SF90 isn't a limited production car. Also, Ferrari doesn't make the rules of owning pre-owned Ferrari's before purchasing the first Ferrari, as it's the dealership that makes these rules. Different dealerships have different rules.

@@amarjit_singh_ Somebody didn't watch the full episode before commenting. You can buy second hand Ferraris, but that doesn't mean you can buy one brand new. The video isn't talking about dealerships that sell 2nd hand, but rather those that sell brand new. And yes Ferrari can overrule a dealerships interest to sell the car if Ferrari thinks the owner isn't worth their car. They literally have contracts with dealerships for this. And FYI 2 models of the SF90 are limited production. The SF90 LM and just today they announced the SF90 XX stradale.

You were able to quickly find out what I said wrong about the SF90 with a bit of research, but you couldn't figure out that Ferrari does in fact have a lot of control over who buys, owns and drives first hand Ferraris which has been clearly spoken about and attested to buy many Ferrari owners. You wouldn't know this anyway since like me, you don't own one. Go look up so many times Ferrari has been anal about their cars. Anyone who knows a shred about cars knows what Ferrari's downright narcissistic attitude is. I'm not saying i'm a fan of it, in fact I abhor the gatekeeping. But what Nolan said in the video is true. For example, if Justin Bieber ever managed to buy another Ferrari, which would have to be second hand, Ferrari would still send him a seize and desist order.

This is nothing but my personal experience. Again, it's not Ferrari but the dealership that makes these rules about background checking! There are many such rules, like the buyer can't own a Lamborghini but have seen plenty of UKpostsrs owning new cars from both brands! Justin Bieber violated one of the ownership rules that he signed before taking delivery of his Ferrari, he modified his car at WCC which wasn't approved by Ferrari and rightfully deserves the cease and desist letter. There's absolutely no source to prove your claim that Ferrari would send a cease and desist letter to Bieber if he buys a pre-owned Ferrari.

The huge majority of luxury watch brands also do this. It can be as basic as Rolex just giving preferred waiting list places to those "preferred owners", to Richard Mille literally not allowing you to get anything but their cheapest models and then you need to own them for X number of years and absolutely never EVER sell them.

The Zonda is amazing and I've always wanted one however with all this cool tech coming every year I'm excited for Lucid Air or Hyperion XP1. I love technology and innovation. I also want to say that I agree with specialty marketing. If you want a custom shirt or board or anything you're usually going to want something unique so I'd rather wait until it's made apposed to getting it right away.

Most rich ppl that do that are generally too old and their lifestyle is rather tame and their passion for driving too low to ever wear the car out. Contrast that to a young rich man who has a playboy lifestyle. He generally actually drives his cars because he is THAT guy. Good example is Andrew Tate.

When you work in a dealership that offers some expensive car models like corvette, Supra etc. You will notice the managers will have a list of return customers who own previous variants or multiple expensive models to give them first dibs before even the sales meetings. Usually the markup is asinine but for that experience, who would expect anything less.

I think the MINI dealers in my town were trying subliminal marketing. Whenever I brought my NA MINI for service, they sometimes told me there were too many cars to service and sent me home with a loaner. Funny thing is it was always a much higher end John Cooper Works or turbo version loaded with everything. One loaner car I drove cost a whopping $10K more than my own car!

In my opinion, at the end of the day, you just need a car that puts a smile on your face. my dads ‘94 Corolla wagon was so fun to be in you sat so low to the ground that 40 felt like 70, sure it only had about 100hp and 100Nm but it had this almost keen personality ready to take on any mission whether it be cruising for 600km or just simply going to school it was also made more fun by driving through the school parking lot and seeing all the private school kids with the newest golf or Audi move away bc they know, I’m in afraid to get another scratch in the paint, rip the Toyota Corolla, traveled the distance to the moon and back.

This is so true holy. Went with my uncle to buy his first super car. Always wanted a Ferrari so went to the dealership. They didn’t give us the time of day because it was our “first Ferrari”. My uncle found the one he wanted and they were trying so hard to push a few of the pre owned cars they had on the lot. In the end he ended up walking to the lambo dealership across the street and walked out with brand new huracan. They were x100 nicer and made the experience incredible. Buying your first super car should be an experience and lambo treated it as it.

With Ferrari you get to know others owner, new deals open up for your company, you meet new rich (often important) people and all with the same passion (otherwise you are not sold a Ferrari). It is, in my humble opinion, a much more truthful experience than sitting in front of a Huracan and getting a nice shopping trip, just to maybe buy a SUV as your next car because it is stressfull driving a supercar. As much as i love Ferrari and Lamborghini since i'm an italian even, it is different, trust me. I'm not saying it is correct or incorrect, but Ferrari has its points. There is a reason why they are growing up more and more every year while mantaining their "passionate-closed" policy instead of building an SUV based on an AUDI.

The complication of buying such cars also applies to some other types of high end vehicles. If you try to buy a Rolls Royce there is a lot involved unless you want to buy a pre-owned. Then again, the dealer may refuse to sell you anything if they feel you don't meet their standard as a customer.

Cool video, and as far as it goes for Ferrari, Yea absolutely what i experienced, this exclusivity thing. I had to get a lower model CPO to start building a rapport with SF. The difference for me is, I buy cars to tear ass with them lol. I have several normal sports cars (M2, 911, Supra, 3000tg, etc.) This is my first SF and yea, I don't care about the "status" it gives, I want it because of its beauty and performance. Yes i had it tuned, and yes i have hit 160MPH down a back highway in the town i live in lol. I bought it for the driving experience, nothing more nothing less. And goddamn what an experience it is.

100% i was a Warranty Administrator for Porsche, Ferrari, Maserati and Aston Martin and then an Asst. Service manager for Ferrari/Maserati and a select few of very dedicated customers the manufacturers would offer to them pre-production. One of my customers declined getting an ENZO because if was not available with a gated manual transmission.

Parts will also be a lot easier to source, and it will probably be mechanically easier to work on. The increase in performance is inversely exponential when compared to cost. Yes, a $10,000 car is going to get dusted by a $50,000 car, but the right $100,000 car is probably going to be right at the heels of a $1,000,000 car. I used to dream of owning these super exotic sports cars when I was younger, but eventually grew out of it. I have a lot of wealthy friends who do in fact own a lot of these rare wheels, always special ordered. Yes, they look awesome, are faster than hell, corner like a roller coaster, and are more like spaceships than cars. I just think of them as curiosities. I love the engineering, the design, the roar of the engine, but they're not my style these days. When I have enough to plop down on a Lambo I sink it into real estate, and never regret it.

A friend of mine has a mclaren 570s and it's a massive 10/10 from me, the seats feel like sitting on a brick with a piece of leather laid over it, and is somehow comfortable. My integra type r is not a super car but it was different than buying a normal car. back in 2001 i had to go to the dealer ship when they started accepting waiting list for the car. you first had to pay some deposit and wait 0ver 8 months for the car to arrive at the dealership. and the waiting list would fill up really fast

I must say, being at exotics on cannery row in 2017 seeing 9 Agera’s, 3 CCX’s, and Christian’s personal Regera with it being the only US Regera at the time, in one parking lot at one time, was one of the highlights of my life. I wish you nothing but the best and that your dreams come true!
