Collards, black eyed peas, and cornbread are definitely a tradition for my family. We were traveling on New Year’s Day this year, but my daughter had cooked some for her family and made enough for her daddy and me to have when we got home that evening. I just started watching and love how real you are... showing the 'mess' (which isn't a mess, it's just life) and how it's a lot to get kids ready for an outing. I wish I would have had your videos when I was a young mom of twins because I was in a depression thinking I sucked as a mom because I was so overwhelmed and couldn't keep up. Then I would be snappy and feel like a loser mom for snapping at my kids and husband. It took me down for a few years but we all made it through and it did get easier. I know you are helping a new mom or dad out there. So with ALL this said, thank you for helping our young people (their mental health, etc) and showing them they are enough 💖💖

Great seeing one of my favorite families🤗 I grew up in Grundy, Virginia until age 13, then my family moved to Manassas, Virginia. I was married at 17, and raised four wonderful children. My husband died when my youngest was 17! I lived in Manassas until 2013 when I moved to Sparta, NC. In all of the above we always had cornbread, collards cooked with fatback, black eye peas, pinto's and once in awhile fried chicken!! It's awesome to see how traditions have survived through time. I love seeing y'all together. Prayer's for a wonderful year!!

Bri when you mentioned Art looked mad I had to laugh because my husband and a couple of our kids are that way too when they’re concentrating on something or just relaxed they can look mad. They are always stunned when I mention it because they don’t think they look mad! I’ve seen in videos when when they’re at the table together Grace and her dad both can get that expression but the minute one of you speaks to them they light up and smile, it’s just their natural expression when they’re relaxed or concentrating. I see it every day in my house too! My husband and I were raised in California and nobody ate anything special on New Year’s. When we moved to North Texas 23 years ago that was our first year hearing about eating anything special and there’s several different varieties of things people eat, and we’ve just never done it because we weren’t raised that way. Happy new year to all of you, look forward to seeing what you guys do this year! I have a feeling in amazing garden is in the future of this channel! I’m excited about this new year! I know it’s gonna be a good one!

No food traditions, but I do watch what I do the 1st of January because its said that's what you'll spend doing the most of all the new year--so no laundry, cleaning, etc.on that day. Instead, we spend the day relaxing, hiking, board games etc. vs. housework! Wonderful seeing you smile Art & Bri--God is good. Enjoyed the video and the food looked fabulous!

I almost cried at the sparkling cider bottle. It takes a lot of loving effort to support someone overcoming addiction. But we will happily make changes to what we knew, and give up things ourselves to support them when they are actually willing to work on defeating their addiction.
