Change ground cover you are using to the black weaved plastic. What you are using is more like a cloth.

I left my purple sprouting broccoli and the pollinators are loving the yellow flowers so leaving to go to seed now.

My Rainbow chard came back and looks beautiful amoungst other plants, great splash of colour, I think all the colours came back and the colours are so vivid.

When I cut x's for the plants I tuck the flaps back on themselves,tender plants might not like the fabric rubbing the stems, it also let's water get where it needs easier.

Can you freeze dry the herbs? Or will you just dry in a dehydrator or naturally if you have an abundance of herbs?

This “recipe” is very effective. I used to apply to 20 head of cows. Now apply to only ten after downsizing. I use a larger batch and apply from a battery powered sprayer.

Those carrot tops are wonderful nutrition. We dehydrate them. Winter time treats for our rabbits and into soup for us.

I have noticed that while constant moisture is necessary for carrot germination, Consistent moisture throughout the growing season will prevent splitting. Voles need a habitat pile. A dog will keep moles away.

Bri, concerning your hair, are you on any medications ? My hair was quite straight all my life and when I started a new medication I started getting pipe curls. My hair was to my waist and I had it cut to shoulder length because it would tangle at night . My hairdresser was the one who told me about meds changing hair.

Just cut your hair 8" so much easier. I cut mine 20" still below my shoulders. I'm loving it

What a lovely garden. I’ve been gardening for 18 years now, it keeps me sane, I love it. And my girls are homeschooled and are growing up in our gardens. The material you used last year is different. Last year was a woven plastic and the one you have this year is more of a cloth. The cloth doesn't work as well.

I remember the tour Art did of the secret garden downtown Asheville? I think that's where it was. I could see how much you loved nature then.
