@@catewitch It puts extra strain on your back and creates a harder more dangerous landing. And if you want to use handsprings in a tumbling pass, then you need to travel them at least 3/4 of your body length to actually get rebound and power from it, otherwise it just drains your energy and momentum instead of adding to it.
