Why would anyone in their right mind think that throwing anything into their neighbor's yard, is okay? Wrong. You want to feed the squirrels, that's fine, but feed them on your own yard. That makes a good neighbor. Otherwise you are harassing your neighbor on his own property.

We put up with crazy neighbors for 10 years. They didn't own it, it was a summer house for the mother-in-law but she let them move in, and they just stayed. Finally, they moved, the house was torn down and the lot sold, new house built and nice new neighbors now. It was a living Hell though.

Sorry, I side with them, it’s their property. I had the same problem for 20 yrs with my neighbors. They would wait till I wasn’t home and constantly use my driveway and front yard as a turnaround. One neighbor next door would throw dead fish and glass over my fence. Finally I had enough, I put a huge sign on my front lawn that said, My Neighbors ruin my property! My homeowners said to take it down or they will sue me, I went to the police and they told me, it’s your property, you can put whatever you want. The neighbors from hell have now moved 😂

The blue house is out of line. Throwing stuff over their fence on to a neighbor property is wrong! Then the bird feeders is too much then the birds is pooping on the neighbors house.

My neighbour put up a 12' tarp between our properties, then she put a dog behind it and the poor thing barks everytime i come outside, she does other stuff, its all meant to annoy me. It hurts...but what can i do? i dont have the $ to move & there is a severe housing shortage in my city. Im trapped, a prisoner. But i am lucky VERY lucky, im not in a shelter.

If you look at Google Maps, the blue tarps are gone, but there are still signs. The neighbors across the street have very wisely put up a fence and shrubs so that they don't have to see the nonsense of the neighbors across the street. I wanted to look it up because they are Dutch street names and I'm Dutch.

This crap goes on no matter where you live. When I was a young man I bought a 40 in a national forest, next to the Canadian border and the BWCA canoe wilderness. I wanted solitude and wildlife to just uncomplicate my life, with the freedom of hiking, canoeing, and camping within walking distance. It started before I even signed the papers on the property sale. I don't belong, you took away our hunting rights, you're not from here, go back to where you belong...and so on. I stuck it out, built my cabin, and proceeded to live a quiet life....but because of the area I chose, I spent years taking idiots off my property for trespassing, poaching, and atrempting to burn me out....and after years of bull, I shot one...problem solved. Sad, but those a$$holes earned it. BTW...it was the "old timers", and not their children, who I get along with just fine. Fact is, they pushed the wrong guy.

Looks pretty mild compared to some of the neighborly feuds I’ve witnessed, Ive seen it escalate a lot worse and come to violence and death threats with some of the neighbors I’ve had in the past.

It seems like the one in the yellow house is probably the problem. There’s one with all the tarps and signs in theatrics going on. They seriously complained because birds were pooping on the roof. You can’t get more idiomatic than that.

My neighbor had a big sign out with another neighbor’s full government name on it. It said other neighbors government name killed my dog. Our neighbor really had poisoned his dog with rat poison and admitted to it to everyone.

This is why I live in an HOA. I don't even know the full story but I can tell you it looks like more elderly people are making problems... They are skilled in that one area.🙄

Seems I remember a woman being attacked by savage dogs of a neighbor and people said it was civil matter. And it wasn’t “nice” she complain. She later was mauled by the dogs and died in her own driveway. Fences are nice.

The need a mediation. Someone to sit down with them and talk it out.

Difficult to know what plays here. This man says he doesn't want his neighbour filming him. Meanwhile he is filming the guys whole yard and putting it on the internet ... . Maybe it's the other guy who is tired of being filmed every day and does a little payback. Difficult to judge with this onesided information.

I had an issue where a new neighbor had a guest over that came running and cussing at my son as he was biking past. He came home all shook up and I had to walk down the street and draw those people out of their house and off of their property to have the proper words with them. That it was my road, we were there long before them and neither my son or I would be intimidated or threatened ever again without a serious problem. And I asked why she was running at my 12 year old son. I told them, that ever happens again, I will get my gun. That escalated things. Then the neighbor across the street came over, good friends of theirs but years long neighbor of mine. Things got resolved. My son has no fear of going down HIS street anymore. The neighbors kicked their sister out, she was on something, and profusely apologized. Said that we would never see her again. To this day, I havent, though, just like before, we mind our business. Both neighbors are good neighbors now, and we all wave and say hi and all that to each other now. Hard to imagine what it would take to construct that sort of wall.

10 year feud? Got triggered again. You can tell these neighbors used to talk to each other and then started finding too many flaws of each other. The healthiest thing to do is to NEVER talk or befriend neighbors that are directly next to you. You never know what triggers a person. Be friends with your neighbors but not the ones directly next to you. As the ones too close tend to become obsessed of your lifestyle etc. A GOOD Neighbor is not a friendly neighbor. It's a neighbor who knows how to LEAVE YOU ALONE.

That's what happens when your houses are to close together. Throwing anything or blowing anything on someones property is trespassing . You can sue for punitive damages. I have a new neighbor their driveway is about 8 feet from my house and they keep their open recycling receptacle with no top in the driveway and throw small card board boxes in it and the wind blows them on my property and down the street. It's very windy around here. They have no consideration. I put up a fence and now it is stopped and they have to pick up their own garbage. But every so often one gets by it. Never had this issue with the previous owners.

Thankfully they let use know that the walls were man made. I thought the squirrels made it.

I had a neighbor who put several cans of blackberry pie filling on their garage roof each day to feed the birds, who in turn pooped purple stains all over our cars, house, roof, lawn etc. It was horrendous. Then one day we got a message in our mailbox where they had pulled my ex's dui record thinkiing it was us. After that I caught them peeping in the back door. I phoned the police and the were arrested. I had to testify in court and the neighbor was given 30 days in jail. The arresting cop told me they had over 400 cats in their house and had catnip growing in the yard that appeared to be pot. Crazy city.

I wish I could live on that street. Those of the most interesting neighbors ever, come on.

Seems pretty silly but I understand the situation. Personally I'd just put up a bigger fence (after getting a zoning permit) with 8mm wire at the top (maybe 4 metres / 13 feet high), set up 24/7 cameras and keep a log of any trespassing / illegal behavior and forward it to the police. I live next to a crazy neighbour. Unfortunately I'm renting, so there isn't much I can do about it although he's renting as well (same real estate and it's an unit complex). On day 1, he was banging on my door carrying on and threatening. I tried to be nice but it didn't work. It's just escalated since then and is still going on 2 years later. I get a complaint email for something silly (car sticks out 1 foot) yet his car sticks out 8 - 15 feet so I point that out and show his car sticking out with a photo emailed back to the real estate. I fixed the sticking out 1 foot problem. He still sticks out every day by about 8 feet. The real estate is tired of it but doesn't take action because the owner is the one who decides if someone gets evicted. Funny thing is, the previous tenant (where I am) broke the lease after just a few weeks of being here. I wonder why he did that :D Even funnier is that about 15 years ago I had a bad alcoholic neighbour (don't care if he drinks all the time, but do care if he has 5 day straight binges 24 hours a day which keeps me up when I am trying to sleep. Unlike him, I had a job and needed sleep so I'd be rested for my next work day) Anyway, at the end of the lease they ask, "Reason for leaving ?" and I wrote "Mark Bryden" . Surprisingly enough, the last tenant left for exactly the same reason :D The drunk is no doubt no longer alive by now (alcohol abuse / kidney failure etc) Of course it wasn't just the drinking, the noise but the stealing and other crazy antics he did that annoyed me. Ps The drunk neighbour on day 1 wanted me (after moving in all my furniture / stuff) to drive to the bottle shop to buy him more alcohol. The only thing I was interested in doing was buying a pizza (traditional thing to do after moving in) and chill out / rest after all that hard work (lots of heavy items)
