Yes, volunteers should assume people in Media tabards know what they are doing and don't stop them on the stage. At the same time they should report such cases to the rally HQ who then would tell appropriate action. That is why media tabards have very distinctive numbers on them. Also worth notting that accidents with media people are less trouble for organizers than accidents with public, but they are still a bad thing.

@@czajla usually the judges/marshalls are in charge of those kinds of things (orange vests). We as volunteers (yellow vests) were there to keep the crowds safe and were told to leave “Media” as they “know what they’re doing and are responsible for their own safety”. But I get what you’re saying, I just haven’t been told to write their numbers or anything if something happens. I do hope this goes unpunished as it could have been really bad
