I think that is part of the domino effect that will lead to that. Maybe Xavier instead of merging with Magneto, merges his consciousness with Apocalypse creating Onslaught. Worth noting the action figures have kind of spoiled that Apocalypse is still coming at some point in this season.

Gambit being Death might be the main reason they brought Morph back. What if Rogue brought Gambit's body to Sinster, knowing he can bring him back to life like he did Morph? Sinster says he will do it, but behind that Apocalypse see the potential in Gambit being the one that destroyed the wild sentinel and makes him his horseman.

It's not because of that, if he does return to his old ways it will be because of what happened on Genosha (such as if he survived what happened but Leech did not. That would break him, and when Magneto breaks, he always breaks bad).

Great Show! Anyone that doesn’t think that John Byrne and Chris Claremont have no effect on this series?? U are fools. You can see pieces of their legendary series(the best one in X-Men history)all over this series! If you watch the next episode, the latest one you will see tons of their effect on this series. It is by far the best Marvel cartoon I’ve seen to date, and this is absolutely 100 times better than I expected.

Perfect dialog of Apocalypse for that scene...I'm guessing that heartbeat in the opening title before the opening theme music for Episode 6 was Gambit's heart still beating. Deathbird said "Milk Way ghetto." She is referring to a "ghetto" is a part of a city(in this case, galaxy) in which members of a minority group are concentrated, especially as a result of political, social, legal, religious, environmental or economic pressure.

Based on what's happening right now, I am very conflicted with how I feel about Gambit's death. A part of me wants to believe he is coming back because of the "hints" they were dropping of how the Cajun will return: either as a Horseman of the Apocalypse or the time travel path (which is for the most part very clear). But at the same time, I can't help but notice the sense of "finality", if I could put it that way, based on interviews and tweets like how AJ Locasio (saying that it was an honor to voice Gambit for the five episodes he appeared), Beau DeMayo (saying that his character took a different direction) and Jake Castorena (saying multiple times that he is dead and Magneto as well (although many videos are disproving that based on theories and the comics). And so, it feels like he will be gone permanently. That being said, the optimistic in me really wants him to come back (either as death or time travel thanks to Cable). I am just new to the whole X-Men TAS last year (in preparations for the revival series '97) and so when I watched it, Gambit was an immediate favorite of mine. Because of this, I really want him to come back because I love this character to death. Not to mention his relationship with Rogue is so integral like in the comics, so to kill him off along with Magneto and seeing Rogue overcoming these as consequences for her own selfishness would feel very incomplete for me, like there was no satisfying conclusion to her character arc. But if that's the conclusion, then that wouldn't be my taste. And it also wants to make me believe that the people behind the show are just making statements about Gambit being gone is a way of surprising the fans that he will come back. Would also like to add that Lenore Zann mentioned in a tweet "Yep. It’s gutting that’s for sure. Death will do that. Keep watchin’ Sugah. It ain’t over til it’s over." I don't know if it means that we will see Rogue and Gambit get together by the end of season one or more bad things will happen to them, considering the main theme surrounding this show is consequences. TL;DR - I love Gambit so much, I want him back really bad. would also like to ask where you got the quote of the showrunner saying "trust me" 4:50

First of all great job on the channel I’ve been a huge fan for years. This reminds me of the years of John Byrne and Chris Claremont. The best one by the way. You could see how they are fitting in as much as they can from the runs of different writers and artists. I wonder if they’ll bring the Marauders into this? This show doing alot of things well. 3 things i'd like to see: 1. stuff from hickman's run: orchis, krakoa, moira the mutant. 2. Some character development for logan. Hes the worst written character on the show now. Like headmaster logan, x-force logan... Make logan cool again. 3. Beast character development. Hes the 2nd worst written character on the show. Hes the same as he was in the old cartoons. I'd like to see dark beast (not AOA)/heel turn.

I took this as Charles’ guilt manifesting that Genosha, Gambit & Magneto are dead because of his absence. I think this is going to lead to Charles merging with Apocalypse becoming Onslaught, who never appeared in the original animated series & since the comic origins are kind of convoluted, it would make more sense that seeing his children (of the atom) killed due to his absence and thanks to the Shiiar, that maybe Magneto was right all along. Humanity & Shiiar can’t be reasoned with. Apocalypse also has no reason to care unless he’s sniffed out Sinister is planning to overthrow him. He could take advantage of Charles’ desperation.

Gambit is my favorite X-Men. This was the only place where I could see him do his thing and nobody bitched about his classic fit. Not only is him only having a line here or there and not fighting until they killed him really messed up, there's been no mention of him, or him becoming the horseman of death. You guys keep saying it'll lead to that cuz it happened in the comics but all I see is gambit being poorly written and shelved due to nobody knowing how to utilize him. Who wants to see a tease of him and still have to wait for season 2 anyway? Who wants to see an evil gambit? How long will that be? How will he come back officially? Too many questions. Not enough love for my boy. Gambit is more than shock value. This show pissed all over him and gave him a good line to go out on. That was it. You guys need to look at the facts, not conjecture.

I see it as post credit part of the episode. Apocalypse goes to the graveyard and says like "rise my servant of death..." and gambit's hand rises out of the coffin

I can _definitely_ see Gambit being either Death or even New Sun next season. Plus, it would make for a very intriguing season one stinger/cliffhanger if Remy were revealed as Death after the last episode of this season.

I don't know if they've touched on it on here, but I've read that Gambit had limiters placed on him, and without them once honed, he is a high-level Omega Level mutant.

I don't know if anyone has brought this up, in the comics Gambit and Sinister have a history. Gambit is an incredibly powerful Omega Level Mutant whom in his original form can become pure energy and essentially cause explosions like the Fusion of our Sun, if my memory serves. Anyway, Gambit gets sinister to cut out the portion of his brain that would allow that level of power(I forget why exactly, maybe afraid someone could control him and use that awesome power.) I am now wondering if they won't be bringing gambit back as a horseman with that part of his brain restored by the machines that Apocalypse has from the celestials.

There is one person no one has mentioned who has appeared, hates Apocalypse, doesn’t mind killing thousands, has been shown to use/trick Sinister and is powerful and vindictive; and from the future, Styfe. It would twist to reveal he is the mastermind pushing pieces around and bring Bastion into the game (so to speak)

Magneto survives (thanks to Leech, hence that's how the Omega Level Thread is eliminated - it wasn't the Wild Sentinel) and Magneto is even more furious after the attack - don't forget, the countries aren't exactly opening the doors back up to the refugees. Cyclops breaks bad and joins him (or leans more towards Magneto's perspective considering what he said in that interview) and Gambit becomes the Horseman of Death. Pure chaos.

Gambit would be perfect as the horseman, Death, but here's who I think about the other three horseman I think would be good: Magneto would be great as War since can use magnetism to manipulate weapons and turn them against anyone. Rogue would be great as Pestilence, not only she can absorb people's powers and memories, but she can also drain their life-force and kill them with just one touch. Storm would be great as Famine since she can control the elements. She could make the temperature so hot that she could dry up the entire land, leaving no plants and water, turning it into a wasteland. So far, we've seen Magneto, Rogue, Gambit, and Storm going through terrible times through the series, this could be building up to something. What do you guys think?

I think Apocalypse is the most plausible way to bring him back. Though Mister Sinister could do to him like he did with Morph as well. Also, of course, time travel is an option too. That said, most folks have already come to these conclusions. However, one theory I haven't seen anybody mention as a possibility is that, even though it's a more recent storyline, they could also adapt the Krakoan era as well. I mean, Gambit never actually died before, until the Krakoan age, so technically, they've already deviated.

Gambit as the horsemen of death should be interesting to see in animation. Apocalypse must have taken Gambit body without the X-men noticing. Probably won't see that until the next season of X-men 97 though. Maybe at the end of the season we see Apocalypse and then we see Gambit as the horsemen of death in the shadows.

I think for Gambit to come back, he's going to be CLONED by Sinister - it's the only way he can technically come back after all that's happened to his body, he was impaled, bled out, half burned, he seemed to have a hole in his head...I pretty much think his body is F'd up. But Sinister can pretty much clone his material and get him to pretty much where he was BEFORE that attack.

@@emergencyawesome further more, I think the way Rogue treated him towards the end is going to actually be what will be used to gaslight and twist him into HATING her. In the comics, she was pretty much the one thing that kind of kept him linked to his own humanity when he became Death. He understood he was Death, but he also remembered he was Remy LeBeau because he loved Rogue...because he loved her, he had that link to who he had been. Apocalypse will want Gambit to fully embrace "Death" and will try to gaslight and manipulate him by reminding him of how Rogue essentially chose Magneto over him, how she's humiliated him, how he was NEVER a hero in her eyes. I think Nightcrawler's suggesting he "Just marry her" in reference to Rogue will also play into it. That wasn't just dropped in for no reason - I think it has deeper meaning. I reckon Rogue will PROBABLY find out he was going to propose to her on the night of the gala as a last ditch effort to have her choose him and not Magneto. Him wrecking his credit rating for life with crippling interest rates by buying an engagement ring on Hock in the massively overpriced Genosha (mind they made a point to show how expensive the place was even for an apple) would be a very Gambit thing to do if he was trying to show her JUST how far he'd go. Be interesting if she were to find a ring. Imagine if it gets to him and Rogue to a final match and she goes to try and ABSORB him to stop him/kill him and he sees her wearing the ring he bought her on her bare hand and that being enough to remind him of who he is and who she DID choose in the end.
