Absolutely agree. With so many brands out there, I do believe that "update lifespan" could be the final point to make a decision in the purchase.

I dont think it's something that can be know unless the manufacturers state specifically.

2 yrs worth of android updates and 3 yrs worth of miui security updates I think. This I heard in another Poco F4 GT review btw.

​@8D Soundz I don't think so, but they have a good track of the CPU's, you cant say that they don't have good CPU's, they are far superior in some areas, and also overall, that doesn't means that Android world are getting weak CPU's, but some of them are fails, thermally speaking and sometime from a performance perspective!

@@Sams-xi7xf my only huge problem is the screen recorder, it is really buggy. when you record, it sometimes doesn't record the audio. I've noticed this when you record long videos like gameplay and stuff. when i first bought the phone, i hopped on a discord call, and the mic was not working at all. not only discord but other video calling apps. (right now for me it's fixed) just recently, one of the sim card slots suddenly could not detect my sim. it took at least a day for me to keep rebooting the phone and unplugging the sim. (it's fixed now, i hope it won't happen again.) the volume button. it happens occasionally even with a slight touch or not touching at all, it randomly volumes down. i've had the phone since nov 2021 keep in mind that i use this mainly for heavy games (codm, apex, genshin, etc.) and at first it was really great and smooth. right now i've notice a couple of performance issues, like frame drops but it happens RARELY, however in genshin, when the phone is too hot you'll be dropping frames. there was also a time wherein, the device suddenly froze i could not do anything even turning it off, i only waited for it drain the battery so i could reboot it again. (only happened one time) sudden app crash and black screen (rarely happens, probably experience about three times) i also had connectivity issues with both mobile data and wifi. it was really sudden, i only had to reset connection and phone reboot (happened once). overall i still use this phone, despite all the bugs which can really be annoying. it only happens when you're not expecting it. the screen recorder is the only consistent problem i've had so far, it still isn't fixed. performance wise it is still very smooth and usable. note: i have the 8gb/256gb ver.

You ahould check out trying other OS miui seems to be buggy but with other UI it should make it wayy better

@@xyanaa Thanks for reminding of Poco F3 shortcomings. My phone died on me yesterday after the latest software update. How can POCO allow the update is beyond me. The phone just looped endlessly after update. Even with hard reset it is still looping. Probably wont touch another POCO after this. But the price and feature of F4 GT is attractive.

In my personal opinion these typos, mispelled words, and cheesy taglines make these devices look cheaper than their starting price. If they really want to continue doing this, then some of the profits should be used by the company to improve the English language skills of their design and marketing departments (no offense intended). Edit: grammar and syntax errors are also present in some Android skins.

all that being said, Red Magic, Nukba in general, absolutely suck ass. their software support is garbage; phones from 2019 still stuck on Pie and 10. customer service is also horrendous, quality is atrocious. everything about Red Magic is simply terrible.

Rog phone is so much better than Nubia.

@@majidamiri8495 Well Nubia might have improved their services from 2019 to 2022. Oneplus used to be awesome but the last 3 years they have betrayed us. So we can't hold our perspective of a company from 2019 and base it for our purchase at present.

@@aryo2004 no need. I am not really a gamer. All I want is a stable chip that works every time in cool temperature. 888 and 8 gen1 is too hot. Dimensity has nailed what most consumer actually needs in 2021-2022. A decent chip without the heating issues.

POCO f4 gt and Redmi K50g are the same the different is POCO F4 GT in global market and Redmi K50g in China only phone The reason why, the number 4 is bad number in Chinese culture so poco can't call it f4 GT or skip it to f5 GT like asus rog 5 (btw they(asus) don't have rog phone 4 because again it is bad number)

Even I can think of a far better alternative word that is not misleading to "Freezing" (which falsely indicates powered cooling).

Its also good for cooking food on it after playing games on it for a while
