Is this the first time Lin won a game against Xu Xin? Lin did much better in countering or long rallies in this match and he won a few points he would have lost before. However, at 2 games all, Xu began to attack Lin's weak spots, his forehand side. From what I observed, Lin's forehand couldn't even handle short balls without being bombed by the next return shot. Also, he still couldn't sustain a long rally from his forehand side. I am really surprised how he won against top-tier European players in which they are really good in long rallies.

Still not good enough from the Chinese who couldn't beat Taipei's cloud Walker!

I swear this commentator should not be commenting, she uses incorrect terms(like smash for forehand topspins), I don’t even think she knows all the spins, her commentating as well as the other dude is boring, we need Adam back!

@@tonzim6479 ​ @Kapeesh jimmy most likely ment that xu makes lin *LOOK like* an amateur in rallies not according to score. lin was often forced to block xu xins loops and had often no chance to attack outside of receiving serves (which lin is very good at). and when lin DID attack xu just countered his flicks pretty much every time. its like you guys never read the last part of his comment and just mashed your keyboards with baby rage upon reading the words "makes him look like an amateur".......

XX is his toughest opponent. He plays too predictably and not down the line enough. XX knows where he's going usually. He beats Ma long and others sometimes, but just does poorly again XX. He hates his style

I completely understand what you mean, but you really have to give ITTF a break here. They have worked tremendously hard to gather the players together and arrange tournaments during these tough times. Maybe its not as easy as you think to bring a professional commentator from overseas to China during these times. We just all have to be a bit more patient and thankful that we can get to watch these world class players again after almost a year. Thanks

She even said that LYJ is rank 5th (*while in the beginning they showed that LYJ is rank 7th and XX rank 2nd) There are more ... just go to their website and you'll realize

Adam was in Taiwan few weeks ago and probably can not attend due to the quarantine rules. ITTF has tried to use a few players to commentating as you'll notice.

It is hard to avoid Xu's forehand because Xu has very good footwork. Even Fan Zhendong or Ma Long have to deal with Xu's forehand. In this match, Lin was doing better on his backhand side but his forehand, defending, was less than mediocre. If Xu was to attack Lin's forehand side as he did the last 2 games, I am not sure if Lin will be able to win even Xu Xin allows him to start at 5 - 0.

許昕實力很強，但是林呁儒年輕有潛力還是有機會的，再接再厲吧
