Rtr aka ready to replace, brushed motor and 1040 esc, shocks bin, gyro bin, battery and charger bin, transmitter bin. Clownish release imho, just get a kit if you want to yokomo and save some e waste

Just getting back in rc again.. many many tamiyas when I was young 1980s just got a new ammria truck with nimh batteries to start off before lipos is it the opposite of lipos for storage? I hear to keep the almost fully charged until I use again.. which is about every 5 days.. and fully discharge the before charging?

RMX has a way nicer break disk. the Yokomo entry level gyro seams not working very well with the standard slow servo.

took my 2.5 stock to the track and 3 dudes with build yd2 were testing mine. they were mad they bought motors sc shocks and v4 gyro and I was banging doors with them just fine. one was gonna sell his to go buy a 2.5 mst

I believe it's a p-tile flooring they installed, like a plastic resin. It's great flooring for r/c drifters. -Brett

Not to mention almost any conversion is based off a yd2 so you’ll have everything you need to do a conversion like a shark.

Higher center of gravity in the rear means that it's easier to throw the weight around.

Price difference is CRAZY here in AUS. The MST is double the price of the yokomo here.

It's not though? Yokomo is like $500 while the rmx is around $750 and that comes with a transmitter when the yokomo doesn't.

How does this compare to a hpi sport 3 drift? Is it worth upgrading or a get something else

If I remember right, the Sport 4 Drift is a 4WD sedan with drift tires installed, so it slides but it's more like a powersliding car. This drift car is RWD only and is specially designed for drifting and only drifting, so it has maximum steering angle, weight placed back, adjustable motor height and other adjustments specific to drifting. Most competitive drifting is RWD only, no 4 wheel. -Brett

How did you remove the black metal where the spur is connected for it to be adjusted? @ 3:02 time Just pull it?

Behind the spur gear is the aluminum hub. If you remove the four button head screws holding the spur gear on, the spur should slide right off, exposing the aluminum hub assembly behind it. -Brett

@@motopanda7729 To remove the hub: loosen the set screw located on the backside of the hub. Now the hub pin should remove easily. With the pin removed, the hub should slide right off the shaft. Yeah, we ship to UK, although some items we cannot ship overseas, like Lipo's, nitro fuel and other items with restrictions. When you checkout, it will say if an item has a restriction. -Brett

The YD2-Z is always going to be much better platform compare to the RMX 2.5. Yokomo has a lot more aftermarket upgrade option parts from its own company and from other companies like Reve D, Overdose, Rhino Racing, and another few companies. Yokomo also can share parts with their older model chassis like the YD2-E all the way to its latest MD1.0 chassis. I have myself an YD2 AC RTR which is basically a YD2-E chassis and I did a full YD2-Z transmission swap on it so I can get that high motor position that I’ve always wanted.

The one I bought for my brother turned out to be a way~ more of a hassle.. I had to put a V4 yokomo gyro instantly because the stock gyro wouldnt leave program mode. then it ran the servo hotter than it should be.. Soo... I had to throw a reve-d servo in it. Great starter, but hope you dont have what happened to me.

Its going to take a lot to make one of these rtrs competitive but the options are endless on the Yokomo side of things. Ive done a lot to mine and its dialed👌🏻

@@fazz909Those cars are very hard to get. The best method is to backorder the car you want, reserving the car for you, and we ship the car when it arrives in stock. We wish we had more cars to sell, but stock is limited. -Brett

I have a brushless castle creations motor and esc combo on my traxxas tec 2.0 AWD that I’ve been using for drift. Will that combo fit the yokomo ?

I'd like to see a 3-way comparison between these two and the Redcat RDS ready-to-run. I know there are a few other reviews like that on UKposts, but curious to hear what Bret and Amain have to say. I also know the RDS is more expensive and comes with more carbon fiber.

Lol!!! Are you really trying to compare that trash to an RMX?🤣🤣 nothing like paying for a name. Yokomo makes great products this ain’t one of them. If I was looking for a ready to run, hands-down, I would take the RMX every day over this pile of trash they couldn’t even include a brushless set up. Bro, trying to tell people If they’re serious about drifting, go with the yokomo is comedy. The only thing that car has going for it is its name.
