I had a gloss screen protector on my Model 3 and fingerprints were a constant struggle. Put a Spigen matte screen protector on my Model Y screen and besides being silky smooth to the touch it picks up basically zero fingerprints. 100% recommended to go matte for anyone who is bugged by how messy the gloss screens can get!

Don't ever use alcohol while cleaning any sort of monitor/screens, use distilled water on a microfiber towel. If I've learned anything from computer monitors/laptop is that you don't need any cleaning products but a clean microfiber towel and a bit of distilled water will do wonders, no streaks and no products that will ruin the coatings or anything on the screen. And that applies to car screen aswell.

But why didn't you show the end result of the screen cleaning?!

9:55 Please use a zip-lock bag as a container for the cloth. As an on-the-go solution, you could have one dry cloth in one bag and a pre-moistened cloth in another.

Nice video. I've done this to my steering wheels for the last 5 years now. One thing I'll say though is that colorlock brush is way harsher than is necessary. I'm able to get mine clean with a plain old detailing brush. If you're patient you can just work with a gentle brush and let the cleaning solution do the work. The colorlock brush is probably more suited for hardier surfaces like the seats.

Just a heads up, Koch Chemie Gc, ASC and probably some other similar products are using 2-Butoxyethanol and it’s possible long term with frequent use it could degrade the oleophobic coating on some screens. I’ll emphasize possible, I’ve not had any issues, but I would probably not use it every day. ASC is probably safer than Gc and a little slicker. I agree with your waterless wash recommendation.

Use water towel and wipe the screen. Then use dry towel to dry it.
