The current Peak Zwift of 43.3k also occured at 6.25pm after a small dips and recoveries post 6pm. Tour de Zwift is at 6pm, but Flat is Fast is also popular at 6.10, so feels like peak load has been spread more. Zwift will be happy with the daily hours on end of 20-35k I've been seeing, especially if you accept the average zwifter is on for only 30mins. ERG was an interesting story, love a nerdy deep dive !, even if I've never used it :)

I find it really useful that the companion app doesn't have 3-second smoothing but the main screen does. I do my workouts in "non-Erg" mode, and one of the things that needs to be managed is what I call "bloom" - as you go into an increased-power interval, there's a tendency to overshoot the target. For a longer interval, not really much of a problem, but when it takes you five seconds of a 15 second interval to get to the right power, that's a problem. But I don't want unsmoothed numbers for a long interval, because I'll spend the whole time hunting for the target. So being able to glance down at the companion app and get realtime numbers in the first 3 seconds of high-power short intervals is really useful.

Peak Zwift may not be growing by a huge amount year-on-year, but my own gut feel over the past couple of years is that Average Zwift is steadily increasing. Peak includes a lot of one-time tryouts that don't necessarily pay for the game. Average would generally including more paying customers. As a company, I know which one I'd be chasing! Peak Zwift is an interesting side game you play every January, but I don't think it is really all that meaningful. But I do enjoying making a guess as much as anyone else 😀

The latest DIRT series started last night, that’s almost certainly why the peak was yesterday. EMEA starts 1915 UK time, so people were logging on to warm up for that, and it’s by far the biggest timezone for the series.

The zwift Old Willunga Hill climb portal course seems to be 1km (3.99km) longer than the strava “Old Willunga Hill” segment (2.99km). How did you account for that in the comparison? Looking forward to a deeper dive between the virtual vs real efforts.

I’d like the terrain climbs and descents to be easily visible in the main display. There is no way to predict changes in terrain.

With regard the first point. I don't know the technical stuff but when i use ERG on my kickr Core its beautifully smooth, like straight line on the graph.

This update sent my PC into a tailspin for hours. Error code 0xc0000005 but managed to fix it in the end with a few uninstall/installs.

Still can't reconfigure the data fields on screen. Like the basic UI.

Does anyone know why you can’t compare virtual sections with people you follow on the mobile app. Everything else is there (weight, age etc) but no followers in isolation.

It’s a real shame there isn’t a better way of in game seeing when sprints, kom’s etc start. Even in companion app it would be great if the road was green in a sprint.

Another quality video!! Re-ride the Zwift climb portal but add additional weight to your avatar to compensate for the IRL experience. Would that bring the times closer??

Anyone else have dramatically inacurate information in the ride streak data? I've done ~1500 km, but the streak is stuck at ~330 km.

I find it interesting that I ride a Concept 2 Bike for Zwift - so I don’t have ERG mode for an option, but when I ride workouts the data looks so much smoother than anything you showed here. Just makes me not really see the benefit of upgrading vs upgrading, actually.

Hi Shane, in recent ZRL races, with the riders profiles shown in the streams, there's been a battery meter. Do you know anything if that is a W' like dataparameters that Zwift dev is working on to be released anytime soon in ones Zwift/ZP profile? I'd love to have that number 🙂

Running plans need to be like cycling plans and be able to be commenced at any time. It boggles the mind why they all start on Mondays.

Obviousally to replicate the weight you just need to put bottles and spares on your bike inside. Plus make sure the fan is blowing in the same direction and speed to replicate the wind P.S would love to see comparison video

Hoe come only few sprint segments and KOMs are shown as a line along the road on the map? Am I missing something here or have they only applied this to part of Watopia?

1:43 is that 197W average power number new? Or is that only if you have a smart trainer? I have a dumb trainer and desperately want an average interval power number.

Could we have an option of how fast we level up…new way or old way? I’m usually not too picky about these things, but I really don’t like the new scheme of leveling up so fast. It just takes the achievement out of it for me.

Every time there’s an update Zwift Companion does function for the first several times I do a Zwift ride. What’s the cure?

Pacer bot drafting and pacer bot surging downhill are still my biggest complaints since they destroyed it in November.

Can we have mario kart or some silly stuff to make base rides more entertaining? I'm even open to paying money to buy their controller thingy if it lets me shoot rockets and what not. I suspect zwift is an incredible cash cow because I really don't see much innovation with the code, but the subscription is expensive.

I wish Zwift would make a "Continue ride" mode for those of us who just want to do some "Zwiftpacking" trips. I would love to do and see more in the longer rides, but just do not have time.

Climb portal is lazy. It's better than nothing, but actually having the climbs with full graphics would be considerably better and more fun. Only having Ventoux, Alpe d'Huez & the Epic KOM (+ Volcano if you insist) as proper mountains is getting a tad stale after years. I wonder if Zwift couldn't develop a cooperation with Google maps to digitize more real climbs to expand the ridable world.
