Let your wife make the decision if she wants to live in that house. Let her have something she can control. Even if she decides to let you decide.

That is so awesome that you donated the money to a cancer center that is lacking in resources. Glad you received your treatment for free. Glad you are doing so well.

my daughter has terminal cancer.... Hospice has been wonderful but it nor no one can prepare anyone for losing a child. We are going through the process to give us legal guardianship of my grandsons ( ages 5, 10) when the time comes. I had always been comforted to know she would be holding my hand when my time came but now she finds strength knowing I’ll be holding hers when she passes. Your father seems to find comfort in the support of his family

I was disagnosed with Stage 2 Ovarian Cancer in 2022, I'm now cancer free. My father was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer last summer, he passed away on March 30th this year. Cancer is awful and I don't wish it on anyone!

My father had level 5 prostate cancer. All of his brothers died from prostate cancer early on. My father took the 7,000/month drug. He never took chemo either. That drug allowed him 10 more years of life so he lived to his late 80's. The week that he took the drug, he didn't feel great but next 3 weeks after that he felt fine. All the best to you

Hi Bert! I love your Dad. He is so straightforward with how he explained what he was going through. He has such a positive outlook and great advice. I hope and pray all the best for him and all your family. I hope you all have a blessed week. I’m looking forward to seeing your next vlog. Take care. 🤗♥️

Bert, as someone who has been given a terminal diagnosis, it's really important to be able to talk with your loved ones, about those thoughts & issues you have with your own mortality. When I want to talk about things that I want my family to know or to do when I'm gone, & they say don't talk like that (meaning don't talk like you are going to die), it makes me feel dismissed, rejected, & isolated in my need to talk about those things that matter to me. I know they don't want to admit that I am going to die sooner, rather than later; & they really don't want to hear it or have those kinds of conversations. But if we don't have them now, when will we have them? I so appreciate your dad's candor. Just be sure to let him have those hard conversations with you. You guys are an amazing family, & I've been watching you so long, that you feel like family to me.

Bert I notice you have a lump on the side of your neck, it’s visible when you turn to look at your Dad. It’s probably just a swollen gland. Maybe get it checked out xx

Be very greatful that your parents are having those conversations with you. As some one that had been threw the loss of 1 parents and 1 in law it aa gift they have a will and also that they are talking to you about the will. Neither set of parents had a will or even talked to us (when asked) what there wishes would be at death. And we now have asked both living parents again to have that conversation and they both refuse to. The talk and the will are a gift. It very hard with out either.

*Somers, some folks make some bold claims about a 'spice' named SAFFRON.... killing cancer cells. Saffron of India is the only certified authentic saffron that I am aware of. Can be found listed on Amazon.*

I’m 50 and my dad now just started to tell me he loves me. Tell her often. My dad worked 3 jobs. I never saw him. I always wished he would have taken me to fun things to teach me like fishing for the day. He didn’t spend time with me. It was all I ever wanted from him.

I had two types of female related cancers in my mid age. Luckily I was able to catch it in very early stage. I am a MD Anderson patient. The best care they provided nationally and even internationally. The most important things to fight with cancers are having faith in God and to do things as usual. It will ease your mind from thinking I have cancer (s). Follow Drs instruction and live a healthy lifestyle as possible. My prayers also go out for dad and the somers family.

I couldn't agree with your father more than getting all the legal things taken care of ASAP. My wife and I have our wills made, our son's trust fund set up, and his care for when our time is up (he is autistic). We even have our DNR orders and what we want to be done with our bodies. We do not know when our time will be up, I came within 2 hrs of being called home if my wife did not make me go to the hospital. I had Legionnaires disease but was diagnosed with the flu which is why I came so close. That has also shortened my life a bit as well as made me more prone to illness. This is why it is so important to have your affairs all in order, your family has enough to deal with at that time it is good to have it where there is less stress on them.

Burt, such an awesome family you have. Your Dad has his head on right. I empathize with you. It's not a conversation any age child wants to have with their parent. The conversations are tough but I can tell you that if it wasn't for the tough conversation with my Dad I wouldn't have thought I could get through it when both my parents needed me. I remember realizing during those difficult stages that my young adult children were learning from me how to deal with the challenges of life and death. I'm so grateful. Anyway, congratulations to your Mom for making the decision to retire. She is a really beautiful soul inside and out. Thank you for sharing this informational and inspiring video. God Bless You All. ✝️🙏🌷🪻🌹
