I could have no idea what I'm talking about, since I retired from the in-the-know circle a little bit ago, but the civilian .277 Fury is not the same as the 6.8×51mm Common Cartridge adopted by the Army. SIG originally delivered something like 850,000 rounds from their Arkansas factory, but manufacturing will be taken over by the Army's Lake City plant. The Common Cartidge actually hits the 80,000 PSI SAAMI spec and a velocity of over 3,000fps out of the XM7. The .277 Fury, while I have no idea what PSI it's loaded to, only hits a little over 2,700fps. I was certain, back when I was in the circle of trust, that SIG was restricted from selling the full-spec ammo to the civilian market, which prompted the .277 Fury name...it's actually different. I could be wrong, though.

It's a solid round, but as a vet, fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck having to carry double the ammo weight plus 5lbs more a rifle to carry the same load out as my M4.

Y'all realize you can buy PSA rifles with Geisselle Uppers, FN Cold Hammer Forged Barrels, Radian Ambi Charging handles, Multiple choices from Mil-spec triggers-Geisselle Triggers, B5 stocks and grips, Magpul, etc etc... If I couldn't afford Gucci AR's, I'd still Defend My Life and be Comfortable doing so with Many of PSA's pistol and rifle! PSA has been making Big Moves and is making a Huge Impact on The Gun Industry. Gotta Appreciate that Warranty and PSA's Commitment to 2nd Amendment and making it Affordable so that EVERY AMERICAN can Exercise Their Constitutional Right to Bear Arms!
