Classic excuse with the noises from service centers. So easy for them to just say "we can't hear it" :/ Nevertheless, good and fun video :)

Using a four bank balance / desulfator circuit (I got mine off of Amazon for pretty cheap) and not discharging them much past the orange LEDs goes a long way to preserving the lead acid batteries, like my second set (four cheap ebay 100Ah AGM batteries) has lasted for years with no sign of needing to be replaced. It's a shame for the price Ryobi didn't do a few simple cheap things like include a battery balance and desulfator circuit stock with the mower and shift the red LEDs up a few percent with a warning on the energy meter not to discharge to red. But yeah, I killed my first set of batteries in two years also! I'm an electronics tech by trade and when I had an issue with the charger (only other problem I've had with the mower besides battery life of the initial set), customer service actually put me in contact with one of their repair guys. After about five minutes of doing voltage checks and general troubleshooting (and being polite goes a long way!) the tech told me he's sending me a new charger. I asked if I needed to send back the original and was told not to worry about it. That great customer service experience has kept me as a Ryobi customer!

In a world where by 2017 we will "definitely 100%" have full self driving from New York to California, robo taxis that bring in $30k while you sleep, sub $5k 70kWh batteries, 1000 mile range and more, as always, I will believe it when I see it :) What's the real range at 70mph in winter with that resistive heater?

i remember Top Gear reacting to complaints about only driving super cars with a "classic car review" of a Renault Twingo in Belfast. Which is well worth looking up. The complaints came from the opposite direction but the result is as hilarious. But with a higher tunnel section budget

Summary: "Could've saved close to $50 *per day* going with a nice German car rather than a Chinese EV, not to mention 5 hours of charging on every road trip, literally over a month of my life I will never get back, 140 miles realistic range vs 800+ in a diesel, but would buy again because I'm a masochist. A bit like an iPhone, the new one makes your one trash." - you're welcome :) Bonus tip: adaptive cruise control is a must for sanity as you will always be in the slow lane conserving range.

Bought my first EV-sorry, leased it-12 years ago. This is nothing new; honestly you should have expected going in you’d be burning money. EVs have horrific resale. I have a model 3 now I only got because of $9500 in tax rebates. It’s a great car but it also will burn up value fast, so I bought the cheapest one Tesla sells.

Lol...great video! 1 point I might make to reduce tire wear is to not Autocross the car! 🤣 We have a 2022 Ioniq5 Ultimate trim, had it since last June 29 we have 55,000km on the clock and by June we will have well over 60,000km(36,000miles) so we are on the same trajectory of mileage. One of the reasons we went with the Hyundai was we have a local dealer just 30 minutes away, unfortunately we have not had to take it in for....anything! Nothing, zero, the car is amazing, we road trip the hell out of it and the cool part is the charging speed is great...maxes out at 240kw so we charge 10-80% in around 18 minutes...which is huge when you are doing 500 - 800km per day. We traded our Kona EV in for this Ioniq5 which we put 48,000 trouble free km on in 10 months and it was a slow charging car so the upgrade to the Ioniq5 was great. I love the look of your Polestar and I have a couple friends of ours that have them and they have pretty much the same issues....but they are an awesome looking car! I just re-read my post and I apologize as it sounds like I am gloating, I am not, just pointing out how much we love our Ioniq5. Cheers! Mike 🇨🇦 Oh and sorry....

Honestly, the ethos behind this looks like how the future of electric cars should be. As light and efficient as possible. Not the multi ton monsters that are popping up everywhere. I think the big issue's going to be crash compatability because small and light isn't going to be great if it gets hit by a massive truck and it's not like you can replace everything on the road all at once.

The single motor RWD version is the far better road-tripper it is a beast. So to everyone else...forget the AWD go for the new RWD version. If you live in a country where they sell ZEEKR a GEELY sister brand to POLESTAR any ZEEKR is even better and with LFP option. It is a simple rule ALL AWD EVs are less efficient and drain batteries on a road-trip versus RWD EVs that are always more efficient. FWD EVs are frankly a mistake in design judgement but are OKAY for small city cars.
