Can't remember where I heard it but I heard that he could beat you in the long game even if he didn't win a single race he would beat you with points... Just by being more consistent throughout the course of a season.

His just a midfield driver never going to be a world champion. If a top team wanted him they would have made him first choice his bang average.

Sounds funny when ppl say Max doesn't make mistakes. Ppl easily forget that few years back he was The Crashtappen. . Current Red Bull is so quick that there is no need to push; thus no driving on the limit and obviously no reason to make mistakes. Put Max in a midfield car & pretty soon this no mistake guy of today will become the older Crashtappen of the past

I love that clip with Alonso and Sainz talking about the best drivers in the grid when Alonso chose Nico alongside Lewis without batting an eyelid.

I think it was in 2014, when the commentators of the channel I watched F1 on back then called Nico Hülkenberg the "favourite rival" of Alonso, because they were battling across many races of the season in the upper midfield, with Ferrari and Force India being somewhat equal in speed. They seem to have battled quite respectfully, so it sounds totally believable Alonso praising Hülkenberg.

Hulk has thrown away a lot of great chances of achievements but his comebacks have been nothing short of astonishing, putting a Haas into Q3. There was a stretch of races where he consistently beat Perez last year… Perez in the almighty RB, Hulk in the Haas. Also, that year when he joined Porsche to race at LeMans, again he was highly inexperienced, yet he beat Webber straight up who was in equal machinery.

there was more to Mclarens upgrades than just they had a lower base with more headroom. McLaren obviously have good correlation and good understanding of ground effect era cars - Mercedes dont seem to have either. The thing McLaren and Ferrari do that Mercedes dont, is to be willing to start the season with a very base car, saving resources that get directed to structured upgrade program

Almost criminal. Honestly imagine how good he could have been, had he been able to secure a full time home for a few years, actuallly being able to gel, settle and get the practice and experience in. what a shame.

It’s such a shame too, because yuki is actually a pretty good and consistent driver, his chances of actually living up to that potential are very slim. The chance of him staying in f1 for long too, are also pretty small. I just hope another team would notice his potential.
@nathangamble125День тому
"he'll never be one of the best drivers on the grid" I'd argue that he's better than Tsunoda, Stroll, Ocon, Magnussen, Zhou, Bottas, Gasly, Sargeant, and possibly also Ricciardo (if the Miami sprint was a fluke), Hamilton (if he isn't able to re-find his form from previous years), Albon (if the Williams isn't actually as bad as the pace makes it look), and Perez (if it's really just the car that's allowing him to do so well). I'd rank Hulkenberg about the middle of the field.

I feel for the drivers because they're fighting for seats with hands tied behind their backs. The amount of races they were in the fight for points and the team blundered it away and now they have no points and look incompetent.

He’s like Fernando if Fernando never won world championships (not on that same level as him as a driver) but similar in that he struggled to find cars that helped him maximize his potential for most all of his career I really hope sauber can get their shit together with Audi I’d love to see hulk on the podium

Prost is a legend, my first sports hero . I'm brazilian. In many occasions, Ayrton Senna was faster, but Prost was more regular, intelligent, best car adjuster...I think the numbers are on my side...even in 88, just check the numbers. He was not a show man like Mansell or Senna (Monaco 84, Donnington 93', etc.), he was cartesian, as he has already said. It's a pitty Prost lost the 84 championship to Lauda. PS - Senna was brilliant too, but there are things here that were made to promote him as a saint, national hero...I do not like that. Senna has his greatness, qualities, but a lot of defects...things many do not like to see here .

Newy is going Home to rest, he said so on the telly. He is 65 y/o and wants to call it quits on silly little racing cars. He has a boat now, an oyster sailing boat and he is going to sail it around the south of France for a while then maybe a world voyage, so stop talking bullshit, we all know now and talking this crap just makes you look desperate for content.

I think that cars are too reliable nowadays, or because of the various restrictions on changing engines etc, teams are afraid to develop parts that might break during a race due to having limited allowable replacements. In the old days you could be leading the championship but end up with a blown engine 3 races in a row and suddenly you're 1 point ahead going into the final race of the season. Also, I think DRS is way too good at allowing stronger cars to bully their way past opposition.

You can't say Hulk's strong performances justified HAAS dtopping Mick. We need to remember that Mick was already picking up speed as the 2022 season progressed, and he could have improved a lot more in the future. But, as was pointed out in the video, Gunther Steiner is not the team principal to nurture rookies.
