Amazing features, no other software have so many excellent industry grade tools. BUT: hard to learn, even harder to master. UX is horrible.

A forced subscription model of 1000's of dollars a month can also cause massive amounts of anxiety and depression. For those struggling with mental health issues it can easily spiral if you're not constantly using the software your spending money on. I originally had a Mud box subscription and I loved using it but would set it down when having bouts of depression or when I just wasn't in the mood to sculpt. When reminded I'm paying a monthly fee to use it, I would feel big waves of depression and feeling like I'm wasting money on something I'm trying to learn when I'm not using it. Which in turn causes me to not feel up to learning and the cycle starts over. I know what I feel isn't the majority, but for me a Pirated copy of 3ds Max is what sparked my love of 3d modeling/sculpting and animation. I wouldn't be at this table if my buddy didn't give me that disc. I am someone who wants to learn and eventually put out their own animations. A Forced monthly fee for Autodesk or Adobe software which don't get me wrong, they have incredible software, but that over pirating it or just going to a free software like Blender, just isn't healthy for my wallet, or my mental health.

Very cool, I think for most people it is the hunt for hyper-realistic hard surface material generators... that's the play when doing interior mock-ups for starships. Something weird with very little manipulation, or toying with shading options gets you stunningly accurate composite shots.

The problem with zbrush is that now belongs to maxon , so the price you use to paid for you entire life now you pay it just for one year. By the way 3d coat have sick tools that zbrush and blender have not.

this is so booring and always was. Movies trying to suspend disbelief with hyperrealism only enforces it. Please enough of this weird hard to watch animations. There are better approaches which humans can easily accept. Being honest with audience is much more applealing. Humans have this beautiful gift they understand role play so anything moving can be perceived as living. It works well in modern theatre and in general in non-realistic animation. Check out more on this topic which is not new under the term uncanny valley.

Render Mann is not open source and if you want to use it for commercial purposes, pricing is if you have to ask, it’s too expensive.

I think one of the reasons why DAZ 3D is virtually unknown is because their software can produce great looking 2d render images, but is not suitable for game characters. Their models are copyrighted and cannot be redistributed as part of a game software, so there is little appeal for game developers to use it. The software works great for artists looking to render images and maybe video, but offers little value to other markets.

Well. Let me give you the short version. It was probably expensive. And now we have better for free.

Cascadeur was very laggy when I tried it and the mapping system is very underwhelming....not to mention the export fbx option is only for full members and even that..I couldnt find the full export options for fbx files it is far more smooth in blender and comprehensive.

Yes males are more creative, musical, artistic. How many acoustic female bands do you know? Plenty of female singers. My theory is helps males express themselves. Females talk. A lot. Guys use and create music and other creative endeavors. As a boy I didn't really start talking and engaging in conversation until I was 5. But I loved music and loved to sing. My mom, dad siblings said I could clearly sing and remembered lyrics. Even today, I still don't talk that much😏
