The berserker axes are amazing. I stick to melee as much as I can. For me, it’s just more fun than magic.

Even with everything being resistant to pierce, a bow with high enough skill level is always viable in every biome.

i thought he was going to talk about the actual ashlands weapons more, the magic shotgun nukes morgens if you parry them wich is easy enough. plus the tentacle staff can be used for cc in forts rather than using the hammer. only shown one new melee weapons an the 2 new magic ones he showed were the worse of the 4 lol

bonemass i found to be the hardest boss fight out of the 5 original

I remember struggling in this biome and casually getting killed. After playing for awhile I can single handedly raid a fort with my dual lighting axe. Just catapult my inside and I'll do the rest

@Nick - do you feel they have gone too far? For me, Ashlands feels like a separate game. Do you feel that the progression from the first biomes to Ashlands feel normal? Or is it too much of a jump?

This makes me think it would be really cool if the devs added in secret seeds for this game just like terraria has. Obviously this game is way less developed as a whole than terraria, and it doesn't follow the blocky style, but i feel like they could come up with some unique challenge seeds for this game. Even just something that's like a custom island terrain generation where each land mass is a single small to medium sized island of just a single biome could be a fun change to spice up a playthrough. Or possibly spawning the dungeons or points of interest (fuling camps, drake nests, etc.) in completely different biomes. Or giving bosses different types of attacks on a certain seed to make them harder (although personally i think that should be a base game improvement). I think it'd be harder to do secret seeds in this game, but the world generation could definitely make for some entertaining twists and the potential from some really unique seeds is definitely there.

i wish the Fader fight didn't have so many mobs attracted to the fight, it becomes such a mess.

Is a Frostner a good pick for this biom?

Ive played over 150 hours of ashlands, in my opinion staff of embers still best in ashland because even though it does a tiny bit less dps than the ice, u get splash dmg and in ashlands theres always 100 mobs chasing you. Bubble is a must too, so Op for groups and summoning skellys, new staff of the wild got buffed and it also good now, just shoot it down and stand inside all of them for some extra protection. And the troll staff is an amazing distraction and wood collecter, and if u summon it on a ore or rock, it usually smashes about half of it. Hope this helps someone

Dunder is the best new staff! EZ it is fantastic against Morgen so if you are following the magic route it is a must!

Wow that's literally how I play the game anyway hahaha! Sword and shield ✔️ Beeeeg Hammer ✔️ the right food and a bunch of magic? ✔️ ✔️ The one change is I like the crossbows. But arrows with frost sounds nice. Good video as always thanks for getting people on the Magic train 🚂

Another super great weapon for this biome is the Crystal Battle Axe. The ability to hit up to 8 enemies at once is great for crowd control, and the spirit burn from it being a silver weapon is a beautiful addition! 😄

In fact, dead raiser can do A LOT of damage. It scales extremely well with the skill level. At extreme levels, melee skeletons out damage a 2star wolf...and they dun limited by stamina and you can summon up to 4.... If 4 melee skeletons all lands their swing, there is about 560 damage.... considering its sort of "pre-cast" magic, it's insanely good.

When you get high blood magic, skeletons go from being distractions, to taking performance enhancing drugs. If you summon 3-4 of them, bubble them and then CC their target with Staff of Frost, you can completely stunlock that enemy. Works against morgens and starred warriors particularly effectively. The higher your blood magic, the more it increases their damage. When it's around 60 as it is for me, 3-4 skeletons will be able to reliably stagger morgens on their own, while making light work out of small Ashlands units. Just beware, Asksvin will sometimes headbutt them like 30,000 feet into a lake of lava and kill them through their bubble.

gameflow is terrible in ashlands, feels like an amateur private game project imo.

On PC it's Press and hold Left mouse button on Q and hold 'Enter' then release them together to sell unregistered ship. The unregistered ship must be on last slot (that is when you press Q, you should be able to see it). Working as of May 24.

if you set the world modifier to 3x resource rate, the game is no longer a grind.
