I hope someone can answer my question about this build. I keep thinking a box truck would make the best base vehicle to start with for a Vanlife build. But my concern is that it wont handle/be able to go as many places as a standard Van build out. If im wrong id love to know from someone with experience. I have a few years experience driving a box truck like this for work. But we rarely took them off pavement, and the few times we did it was real slow going and never on anything with much of a grade. If someone know, please reply to this, wanna pick a vehicle and get started asap.

The permitting system does not exist simply to frustrate people, it's there to keep the stupid and careless from creating a hazard that endangers both themselves and others. Trying to skirt it by exploiting a loophole just puts you on the building inspector and fire marshall's radar, in the long run it's far more trouble than it's worth.
