The problem with black putters is they quickly lose their paint/finish and looks.

Some months ago, I bought a pair of Adidas 2023 Code Chaos shoes on a whim. I'd been wearing FJs but found them underwhelming but these Adidas have really good comfort and - most importantly - excellent arch support. I've seen that the new 2024s have a different style so I bought a backup pair of the 2023s as I always have a primary and a backup pair. The insoles seem to be the key, they have good arches unlike most shoes where you need to buy better insoles before playing. IMO, Adidas has always had superior basketball shoes and these, for me, are superior golf shoes. (Let me note, I'm 74 and my days of playground or Y league basketball are WAY in the past so golf is all I really have left.)

Good video, but on several occasions the referee did not indicate the penalty for breaching the rule (for example, moving sand on the fringe). Strange that this information was absent from an otherwise excellent video.

In a company golf league I played, they contested the use of range finders (without slope), but allowed preferred lies everywhere (fairway, rough, out of bounds, bunker, water, forest, etc.). Quite idiotic.

For anyone considering the P790, you should know that the finish on these is very delicate and mine appear utterly battered after 7 months of use. To be fair, I live in Florida and can play year 'round, but my irons look several years old. Even the incidental contact with the neighboring irons in the bag has them in rough shape, visually.

Competition or otherwise, slope information isn't legal for any score you turn in, correct? If I'm wrong, please let me know when that rule changed. Any round turned in for handicap purposes isn't supposed to incorporate slope information AFAIK.
@haroldfarquad6886День тому
Golf has some pretty dumb rules that ought to be changed within reason. One of the main rules that should be changed for amateurs and pros alike is being able to move a ball out of a divot in the fairway. It's insane that a drive in the fairway can result in one of the most disadvantaged lies in the game because you're on someone's old divot. Fairway drives are supposed to be rewarded, not punished.

For retro clubs in particular, they are far better than golf bidder and they will as an option regrip everything if you wish. They recently even did a promo where they knocked 15% off the total if you bought more than two items.

For me it is the 2024 Ben Hogan Icon irons, or the Titleist T100 irons. I have found that for me , the Hogan icon irons truly feel so pure when I play them. They have a balanced feel when I swing them, it seems almost effortless. These clubs have a solid sound when struck with a crisp fluid feel through impact. These clubs along with the Titleist T 100 clubs seem to have a very tight dispersion and seem to be workable in both directions while hitting their numbers in yardage. Just pure enjoyment. However, I spent several hours getting use to each. Golf just gets better and better. The Hogan's are the real deal ! Plus, they are priced so you don't feel guilty about spending the money as you might with others. Thanks to both the Ben Hogan Golf Company and Titleist for their hard work in truly perfecting these irons sets.

Great video. I play the Cobra F9 one length irons(personally going to the one length irons my handicap went from 18 to 11.6-12) and the shaft on my sand wedge cracked and splintered so I went and got fitted for the one length dark speed irons even though I am only buying the sand wedge the fitting detailed what I need when I go with the rest of the set. If anyone was considering one lenght irons they should go try them. Consistent ball position is a game changer. As far as distance I am 64;years old and hit the 7 iron 160 yds and the sand wedge 100 yds. No distance loss compared to my old Mizzuno’s. I did hit the dark speed one lenght iron 5 yards further on average and hit one 174. These irons go along way and nice feel.

presumably asking/giving advice is fine in match play since you're only playing against the person you're helping. You're not harming the field.

Great vid, concise explanations and pleased that my own interpretation has always been on the money (just wish sometimes others were as diligent as I endeavour to). But I have a couple of questions: 1) could you finish off putting, as in your vid, if you asked your opponent, even if out of turn? 2) If a player looses sight of his ball off the tee, does not play a provisional, walks over to where he thinks first ball may have come to rest, but after several minutes (definitely more than 3) jogs back to the tee, hits another ball (provisional?), jogs away toward the green and on his way spots the original ball, he stops and plays it. We were advised that that this action was permissible by the pro at the pro-shop; it doesn’t see fair, was the pro right? Not the first time I’d seen this process.

The most obvious thing that no one tells beginner golfers is how to hit the ball on the center of the clubface and for some beginners, how to hit the ball at all. I'm not referring to the golf swing. I've seen some great swings out of golfers, some of whom were beginner golfers, who had trouble hitting the ball cleanly. And I would argue that many and perhaps most golfers should not take a lesson. Lessons denotes a commitment that potentially amps-up the importance of playing golf well rather than playing casually.

At my home course we have double greens. It's one big green with two flags on it and no border or any other separation. Does that mean, if my ball is closer to the wrong flag I'm laying on the wrong green and I'm not allowed to putt to the other flag?
