i think they could do something to bring back the awe and wonder of the first so the film is based around dinosaurs and paleontology but it was made a long time ago but Paleontology is advancing and we're learning more stuff about dinosaurs so to kinda bring back the wonder of dinosaurs, in the later sequels, they could maybe put up to date dinosaurs like for example: the new spinosaurus, feathered dinosaurs, ichthyotitan, azdarchid pterosaurs, plesiosaurs, paleozoic and cenozoic cratures and more that we haven't seen in the movies

To be fair to the portal creation, it always requires a small delay and a hand motion of some sort. They could absolutely use it to better effect, no doubt there, but I think some of the points you made about how quick and easy to use the sling-rings are kinda depend on how long the delay is between portal creation. Although, in the same breath I do suppose that proves your point that the system isn't explored enough to be considered "good." We don't know enough about how the sling-rings or the magic system in general work.

you touched on some interesting points... but I would have to disagree with you're proposed solution... what you propose would more likely complicate the film needlessly and inject even more unnecessary political messaging. I think that the fundamental question that Avatar tries to contemplate is "what is an advanced civilisation?" to me it feels that Cameron wants to posit that what Human beings call "primitive" is merely a different path forward, one that we abandoned in the 21st century. The Navi share a lot in common with civilisations from our history, but they are far more advanced and enlightened than those civilisations. I don't think Cameron is saying that "primitive" civilisations are superior. I think he is saying that there is a problem with modern society. That labeling things like respecting nature and living in harmony with the environment as "primitive" is problematic. And this prevents us from becoming as "advanced" as the Navi. they are an ideal that Cameron believes we should strive toward. But I do agree that he explores this in a very clumsy way.

23:55 I love The Thing in part because what with all the paranoia you really never learn the monster's motive--but one of the most likely options is in fact fear. So everyone might be panicking at everyone else over nothing, it's impossible to be sure.

I enjoyed TLJ more than TFA and way more than ROS. The death of Snoke was the only “Whoa” moment in the trilogy. Luke being a grumpy old man was a strange choice but it didn’t exactly break my suspension of disbelief. So he became a grumpy old man? I mean yeah he did. Maybe. Many men do lol. After all the main bad guy in the story at that point was his pupil and nephew. Could certainly make someone disillusioned. I did like TFA too. ROS was terrible imo. The worst star wars movie except for Attack of the Clones. Rey being a Palpatine was so forced. Palpatine being in it at all was whack and undermines the triumph of Return of the Jedi. And the dialogue was so bad in ROS. So bad. I remember looking at my gf and both of us bursting out laughing at the end of the movie. Two lines come to mind: 1. At the end, all celebrating victory, Lando talks to some girl and she says she doesn’t know where she is from… and he says “let’s find out” …. Lol what??? That was it too. That was the end of the convo. What was the purpose of that? What did that add? Huh?? 2. Rey saying “I’m Rey Skywalker”… when we just established that she was a Palpatine… I know it was supposed to be her taking on the name as a sort of homage but CORNY. Can you imagine Luke saying “I’m Luke Kenobi” lmao. It was like JJ thought “Okay we have to figure out a way to make the title of this movie work we only have 1 scene left.”

It sucks because it was the awe and shock factor of dinosaurs that made Jurassic Park have the "Lightning in a bottle" effect, which you can't do twice. Fantasy media like Star Wars and Harry Potter have an advantage because Fantasy is ever-expanding with near limitless borders. An issue would be being too outlandish with the Dinos, like putting them in a city or space (think Dino Crisis 3), and it ruins the ancient horror aspect of them.

By overexplaining everything that is going on - as if viewers don't have the mental faculties to figure it all out - you are actually making it so people stop being terrified while watching horror movies. This movie is old now. It might have been terrifying back then, but not now. Plus, if you focus on Annibal's voice, it is fucking hilarious. His mannerisms, tone of voice - all very silly. Blah.

Michael Creighton only wrote two novels before his passing. And both novels were shredded for the films adaptations by the screenplay process. Particularly the 2nd novel. Creighton was the mind behind the stories, Spielberg was the guy that brought those brilliant stories to life. That is why all the following movies didn't have the depth and sincerity of the first. Because while Jurrasic Park was Creighton's "passion," the following movies were all Universal's "business."

Errr... Are you sure about Shawshank Redemption? Shawshank Redemption isn't a story about a man imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit. It's a story with an unreliable narrator. It's highly debatable whether or not Andy is innocent. In fact, there's a lot to suggest that he IS in fact guilty. The whole "it's about a guy wrongfully imprisoned" interpretation is WAY too simplistic and one dimensional. In fact, it's part of the twist of the story, how the unreliable narrator can make the viewer sympathise with Andy, and often never even question his guilt or innocence, simply because of how the story is told. And yes, I know that a lot of people don't WANT Andy to be guilty, and they feel that if such was the case, then it would ruin the story, but it really wouldn't. The uncertainty is part of what makes it great.

Yeah, I don't get your toxic message at all or moral as you put it. And I do like how it took you 20 minutes to get the damn point. What I got from it was poor writing and it makes no sense and as such makes no point. If you're going to include a villain origin in a story or movie, their journey to becoming one has to make sense. I'd say some of the best villains that have had that are tragic ones. If you're not going to include their origin it's a little easier to write them.

Let’s face the real truth behind World’s existence: We didn’t watch it to see new ideas or themes or wonder, we wanted to see the concept of “what if the park was actually open when things go wrong?” Jurassic World is less of a spiritual successor to Jurassic Park and more toward 2012, The Day After Tomorrow or some other big-budget disaster movie.

I personally believe that the Main Reason Homelander is so Unique, Dangerous, Unpredictable, and Evil is how much he’s Mentally Unstable, Each Season shows how much John is Changing and Improving on his Image and the More Important Figures of his Life Push Him the more he Lose His Mind and his Narcissistic Tendencies will get Worse, Sooner or Later in the End of the Series he will Snap as a Tyrannical Madman and Ryan will be what brought the Camels Back.

LOTR was a great example. However it's so well thought out of a story, that there could be another explanation. It was no ordinary sword. The shards of Narsil were taken and reforged into Aragorn's new sword and he renamed it Anduril which means 'Flame of the West'. And Gandalf was 'Keeper of the Secret Flame'. Perhaps the blade reacted Itself to being taken up against a force of good such as the White Wizard and keeper of the secret flame. Perhaps the reforged blade cannot kill a force of pure good. Similar to how Frodo's blade 'Sting' reacts when evil is present. Just an idea. In such case it's not a flaw in the magic system, just an interesting effect to an already established magic system.

Meh, the "Titan fight," as you would call it, was boring. Even the Batman v. Superman fight was boring. Some of the best fight scenes Marvel has ever done actually come in Daredevil that was on Netflix. The hallway fight scene especially. What makes a fight scene good isn't the choreography or even "if you can feel the punches" that's fodder for people that have never actually been in a fight or had to fight for their life. What makes a fight scene great is knowing the protagonist's state of mind going in, their vulnerability, and what they have to lose, and I give kudos to directors that let that through. It's why John WIck 1 hits harder for me than the rest of the movies. Being a combat veteran, I know exactly what state of mind I'd be in if you took away what gives me peace. The second movie just adds more weight to the first and what was taken away from him.

09:50 This totally fits in the world of Cyberpunk. It's not exposition or providing you with anymore additional information than you've already heard if you did the side quest with the officer that lost their best friend a turtle. He literally talks about how Menedez talks about people like him as having "p*ssy genes" and how the strong survive. This is what we would call a non-player mission. These are actually all over NC and some you can stumble upon and dig into them. Hell, there's characters in Cyberpunk that aren't even in game, but you can feel their presence and impact on the world you're in. Like B@d. You also never meet the leader of 6th Street unless you take one particular side in Phantom Liberty, but you still feel them in game. It's almost like you didn't do the homework or understand the technique being used kind of like how you completely jacked Batman's motivation and what makes Batman - Batman.

4:26 Lucas said he didn’t want to turn it into Flash Gordon: The Serial: The Movie. That was the inspiration but he wasn’t told “no”, even though he didn’t acquire the rights to Flash Gordon. According to _that_ interview, he very quickly realized doing Flash Gordon wasn’t what he wanted to say with his story because that already existed; He wanted his own mythos.
