The Pharaoh’s never went anywhere. One can travel the lands today and see they still control all the same Castles etc. We are still pharaohs slaves. Now let us talk about the ancient giant trees and ancient mining on a worldwide scale!

Amazing work, by the Egyptians, and by this channel's creator! To say, "Well done!" would be a tremendous understatement. I don't know what to say, except, "Thank you!!"

This is a work from humanity for humanity, not many people put such effort without ads plus I got yt premium for 3$ anyway. I hope content and people like this would last longer than the greed of capitalism.❤

I've just bought the book. The number of times I've listened to the Carthage podcast alone makes it the very least I could do!

There's a pyramidion at the top of the Washington Monument in Washington, DC. The original one was aluminum so it wouldn't rust. It's functional through its connection to a cable to carry lightning to the ground.

As always, the podcast and videos are incredibly well researched and delivered! If I was allowed one quibble, it would just be the expanse of time covered made it feel too rushed to me. I wish Paul had chosen to cover just one "kingdom" and its following "intermediate period", much in the way he chose simply to cover the Han dynasty for China, but not the entire arc of their historical period. I missed the depth of story that seemed possible on this one. Again, a small thing to be sure. It still made my day when the podcast came out, as do all of the episodes!

The best video so far from best history video channel. You should do a video on the Sinhala kingdom, I know you're familiar with it from your book - 'River of Ink'.

As always, another incredible episode of Fall of Civilizations. You never fail to amaze and inspire in the way you tell the stories of empires and peoples now long gone. I have been checking in ever since the podcast episode was released, eagerly awaiting this video version. They are always so well made - better than most other documentaries that I've ever seen. I have told everyone that I know that have some interest in history about Fall of Civilizations. It deserves to be seen by as many as possible. I'll be sure to buy your book as well. Thank you for the job you and your team are doing!

Westerners always steal discoveries and attribute them to them (a very civilized act!), from Archimedes' theory of Babylonian origin to deciphering ancient writings such as cuneiform and hieroglyphics that were discovered by Ibn Wahshiyya. Coincidentally, the book was translated into European languages shortly before the alleged discovery of Champollion. For your information, the Egyptians did not convert to Christianity because (distorted) Christianity took much of the Egyptian religion, such as the Trinity. Therefore, the Egyptians remained pagans until the Islamic conquest came, and thus they quickly converted to Islam

If the Exodus in the Bible is just literature, then one can assume that the writings on the temples in Egypt are literature. Basic logic.

As much as I feel sad about the Aztecs being hopleless but to see doom steadily befall, I have to Cortez is a pretty brave, cunning and resourceful person to pull this off, there were so many times they can all die horribly or give up and go away, but he pulled through. Though the man's moral character may be lacking, he is a great leader.
