You wanna go fast in a straight line? Save hundreds of thousands of dollars and buy a Tesla plaid or a Shelby or, if you want a Porsche, the turbo S. This kind of “race” is interesting but it’s putting two cars designed for the track into a 1/4 mile race. I own a gt3rs -if off the line time mattered I would be pretty disappointed for the money I spent !

In real life it’s of no comparison. The perf sounds otherworldly and the GT3RS sounds toned down for the streets. One is 109db and the other is around 101-103db. There’s a lot of difference. The pops, backfires, and gurgles on the perf is also something the GT3RS doesn’t have. Ever since the Germans toned down for US regulations a few years ago the Porsches all sound pretty blah. I test drove a 992turbo S with the sports exhaust and it was activated and I couldn’t hear anything with the windows down. I was very disappointed. The 991.1S with the sports exhaust pre-regulations sounded ten times better than any of these new turbo 911’s

I’ve just traded my mk8 Golf GTi for the 128ti and I can tell you the BMW has WAY more power than the VW. There is so much more torque on tap and it handles far better too, the GTi was a great car but the BMW is superior in every way
