Honestly I kinda wish they'd make an actual legitimate sequel to this game. Give the 'Nameless One' A name and have you start out fighting in the blood war.

Nameless > Abdel Adrian > Hero of Icewind Dale. I love Icewind Dale as a game but holy shit the protagonists in Baldurs Gate and Torment are literally just God's.

One suggestion for videos like this in the future - hold off progressing dialogue a bit longer. I'm a swift reader, but had to pause regularly just to read the shortest lines. E: didn't realize this was uploaded ten years ago, but you get the point :)

Only way this brilliant hybrid of literature and gaming could be improved is by allowing you to keep every party member and let them all go at the end. In my view Dak'kon and The Nameless One separated not only as Master and Slave, but as friends with mutual respect for to *know* oneself you must sometimes go by yourself, without aid or guidance.

The "best" ending would actually be using the Bronze Sphere to recover the first incarnation's memories and then using your true name to reabsorb The Transcendent One. This method doesn't allow The Nameless One to recover his original memories.

Wait a second, if you revive your companions at the end shouldn't Vhailor then come back to life for real, instead of just coming back to "ghost life"?

I just beat this. No matter what I did I couldn't get the dialogue that allows me to threaten TTO with the blade, so I HAD to fight him and get the middle ending. Really pissed off about it.

Nameless One arrives in Baator: ""I feel stronger" attacks the first demon in sight: "I'm goin'" realizes his normal axe can't harm demons, and he left Dak'kon back in the Fortress: "Mine's not working on this thing!" the demon tears off his head "I couldn't carry any more so I had to drop it." his headless body is then cast upon a heap of corpses "Updated my journal."

I think he has already accepted everything that he is and has done. Two things remain, then: reparations and, eventually, self forgiveness. Because he's going to need the latter if he intends to fulfill the former correctly, because he'll need to work from places OTHER than the Gray Wastes to do that. All the same, a few millennia in hell might still provide some much needed voluntary soul cleansing first. Hm... but he did say that time works differently in hell, so maybe he'll get to meet his companions in the meanwhile. Well, the ones who would both still be alive, or "alive", and WANT to make the trip for him anyway. Considering what the Wastes of Hades do to people, especially long-term visitors who came alone, he's going to need them.

I believe it's possible to resurrect them all (rather than just picking one) after tricking TTO out of the room for a moment, with sufficient mental stats. Then again, that might have been added (or rather, restored) by one of the fan patches. I can't remember what happens after that, though. P. sure he gets mad and attacks you, so not sure it's the best ending.
