Chaplin's interpretation is serene and emotionally direct. He has very good taste--not that common in the performance of these pieces.

When my brother died, he left these Nocturnes of Chopin in some old cassettes. I remember listening to them over the days preceding and following his funeral. Funny how these things linger in your mind and heart.

Chopins Ballade no,1, his fantasy impromptu, and some of his nocturnes are exactly what I love listening to. Still prefer Schuberts impromptus though. What a shame both men died so young !
