What’s stopping me is that the only equipment I have is an IPad, my ability to think on the spot and be charming and well talking. I would like to stream on my IPad showing my digital process but I felt that would be boring if there wasn’t a discussion. Instead of having to show my face, I’d like to show mini drawing reactions on a corner of the screen instead, as what you’d see in a video tutorial/discussion where an artist talks as their persona, while discussing a topic. I have no clue how to make that come true yet. I have however set up goals and a starting date after watching tips on this streaming topic. Reason for wanting to stream : Establishing a small community to follow along as I will one day create, and publish, my future comics. To gain acquaintances, and perhaps to even learn from one another. Starting date : April 15, 2024 Goal 1 : getting 2 viewers by June, 2024 Goal 2 : getting 20 viewers by the end of 2024 Requirements : - Further research - Minimum Editing skills - Learning how to stream ( choosing an app compatible on the IPad, for now I’m going to try to work Streamlab on the set date ) - Learning how to save the stream ( I have no clue on how to save the stream as a video and how much memory that’ll require each time ) - Being comfortable with talking ( in general and by myself ) - Having a topic to talk about - Streaming Safety Issues : Turning off notifications when streaming, changing the home screen just in case and the time difference) Extra : - Loading screen before starting the stream (….what is this and is it possible to implement with limited resources ) - Knowing if saving videos…will have a strain on memory storage

it feels like it was yesterday when I first watched this video, and now I'm coming back and watching it again and it all feels so different, looking at the same things but with a diff skill level and better understanding, I can see so many things I missed back then, feels almost like I'm rediscovering my roots lol but really, I hadn't realized almost 6 years had passed :0 I miss Dave content

What about toy companies? Is there still a demand for concept artists in the toy industry? Asking because I watched Netflix’s “The Toys That Made Us,” and listened to the concept artists that created He-Man.

So cool! Thanks for all the tips…especially on the softer rim light. I have learned so much watching your videos. I’m a 43 year old homeschool mom just getting back into art after 20 years. You make it seem so easy but I know it’s not…you have worked hard to get to where you’re at.

Anyone know if this (or other similar non-screen tablets) can be used as a mouse replacement? I'm using FotoSketcher ver 3.90 and just want to have a pen stylus to work with instead of the mouse.

Very late to the party. But it did bring back a marching song from a movie I saw decades ago (and it was decades old, then, ( Die Deutschmeister, Austria, from 1955) movies like that were a favorite of my grandmother) back to my mind. He has a bit from a k.u.k (royal and imperial) officer to me. Just the kind of weird stuff floating in my head...

The meaningful connection of being in person versus being online. Do we need thousands of viewers or six good buddies who check in with you about art and such?

I've been drawing starships for a while, but have very rarely drawn people, and the shading and highlights are something I'm not entirely familiar with, so tutorials like this is a godsend! I'm not quite as good as above yet, but I look forward to future attempts!

Hi Dave, I'm really confused observing your rendering. It seems your colored layers are in normal mode, it means, it will just cover the grayscale. But it looks otherwise. It seems your colored layer, while you do coloring, it blends with the grayscale. I'm really confused. Please enlighten me. Thank you so much.
