Lego is amazing, but if your going to tell the story could you not spend 5 minutes on learning pronunciation?

I remember in 1972 (I was 10 yrs old) I received my first lego set in the mail free because I filled out some form and mailed it in. I'll never forget opening it and playing with it. I was home sick from school. It brightened my day.

He don’t know ‘give up’ and challenge continuously from father to son. This made lego big success today. I think. Hehehe.

Thank you for this movie which provides an oasis of calm. I noticed that the name LEGO also contains the last two letters of the name Ole and the first two letters of the name Gottfried which adds an interesting synchronicity because it was a family built business!

Merci ❤❤❤❤❤

This was seriously one of the best little videos that I've ever seen! I had no idea of the story! My 2 sons (now 34 & 36) lived for Legos even up into their 20's! They still have most of them. This story brought tears and a smile that lasted throughout the entire video! I am so glad that I came across it. Thank you so much for sharing this fantastic story!❤🙏💫

I never had Lego growing up nor did my brother. But seeing this heartwarming story of Lego makes me so happy that other kids had them and how perseverance pays off letting nothing stop you from accomplishing. Hard times, fire, how to improve on something. The history of this toy is amazing. Thanks for sharing.

Lego ego

both lego and this video is nostalgic for me
@AndreasTothМісяць тому
The irony is that LEGO bricks were created around the concept of a system because children had "only been offered ready made solutions", yet modern LEGO is full of prefabricated parts that only serve a very specific purpose removing the flexibility that LEGO originally had intended. Sure, there's still standard LEGO to be had, but, unfortunately most parents don't buy kids what is best for them but what their kids want, and here's the problem because kids fall prey for all the themed and heavily marketed LEGO which always consist of big prefabricated parts but also come big colourful backstories that they know from having watched films. Such LEGO, which unfortunately is the most common LEGO nowadays, does nothing for a kid's development other than turn them into great consumers with little to no creativity.

Hold on, there was on mistake. How is there a modern map of the world even though this was in the past? Let me know if you can find more mistakes in the video. :)
@TheANTI-UTTPUnionМісяць тому
if your saying that it was a map with modern countries, it was most likely so younger kids (like second graders) could relate more, since i dont think they know about the great country of Yugoslavia, or the USSR

I would've preferred if this was stop motion, not just for the sake of nostalgia, but because this animation looks like Cocomelon. And I can't get over that Godtfred looks like Leisure Suit Larry

I was going to show this to my 2nd graders until the guy on the ship said “damn”. They would have loved this! 😢
@guillaumeslamaМісяць тому
As much as I loved Legos when I was a kid, I think they stepped too far away from "the system". Legos today can only build limited things, as each set contains bricks that are so specific they can only do one thing anymore. I wish they would go back to the original idea.
