What an amazing & inspiring story so beautifully told & illustrated. Made me think of my late father who was a master craftsman. He was a school teacher who taught woodworking & technical drawing amongst other subjects. His workshop was a shed at the bottom of the garden where he spent most evenings making furniture etc. When he retired he spent a lot of his time handcrafting wooden toys for children at a nearby hospital/home for disabled children. The last thing he did was set off on his bicycle to buy linseed oil to finish some toys he was working on. He collapsed & never came out of hospital. He was 81. I was his oldest daughter & he'd hoped for a son. My childhood toys were not dolls but meccano (erector sets) & other building sets with tiny bricks, mortar & trowels that u could build miniature houses with. I learned a lot from him. Later in life I was able to do carpentry, tiling, plumbing etc. Thanks for posting this lovely video.

Godtfred learned that day that only the best is good enough. So many decades later, when the fans asked for a phase 2 commander Cody minifigure, LEGO changed their motto to the phrase “it’s good enough”.

is this true? lmao
@c-man1622 роки тому
@@hellhound9351 no, but the fans did ask for a phase 2 cody minifigure. however it was based off of episode 2 of star wars and cody wasn't present there so yeah. also it'd be better if they added cody in a set which everyone can afford.

I like how that one interview was so insulting it literally spits in the face of the origin of the brand.

Considering there are actual quality control issues with Lego nowadays, that statement can be used sincerely.

this story makes me so sad. my brother would make stop motions with legos and he would work on them for hours just editing them and getting the legos to move just right. he was only ten or eleven, and he was so good at them. i remember i voiced one of the characters in his very first stop motion. but then he lost his phone this year, and i think all the videos he made are gone :( it breaks my heart. i hope someday he finds them
