I dropped Black Mesa, when I was walking for 2 hours in Xen and still not fighting Gonarch I realised how ducking long they made the whole Xen sequence and like screw that. After years wanna play Black Mesa again, hopefully with this mod.

This is brilliant it's for the people who prefer old Xen but want to experience the Black Mesa ending. The only problem is the difficulty the controllers are WAY op. That's literally the only problem I have. I liked Crowbar Collectives Xen but it just went on too fucking long and was doing the same shit over and over. I prefer this one. I was mindblown when I saw Xen in Black Mesa and was like this world is something beautiful got to HEV zombies and was mindblown even more but once I hit end of Gonarchs Lair mid Interloper I just had enough and was bored of it. I did finish it but I don't think I could sit through it again although that elevator part was FUCKING BRILLIANT but If I replay Black Mesa I'm probably gonna come to this Xen instead.

Someone really should make a mod where the xen chapters in black mesa are cut in half or something. For example: First xen chapter should still have like the headcrab raided outpost and stuff, but overall it shouldnt drag on for too long Gonarchs lair should just be a tiny bit shorter since its the shortest xen chapter in black mesa. But the gonarch chase shouldnt be as long as black mesa did it. But interloper....must be cut to a quarter or something...like seriously...I just wanted it to end! But the vortigaunt village and gargantua nest MUST stay. They've had a really great impact! And infinite gauss energy was awesome as well, but they threw WAY too many controllers at you. And their telekenesis with the alien grunt canisters is just downright bad and annoying. They've just done too much.

Sorry Black Mesa Xen was beautiful and impressive but it ends there. The gameplay was repetitive and tedious Interloper went on FOREVER. I will play THIS Xen if I ever replay the game.

Hey if you're reading this, I just wanna say thanks for creating this. I really loathed Xen in Black Mesa retail for a number of reasons (it being unoptimized is the main one). This is what I call a REMAKE as it's more faithful to the original than the one in the retail version. May I ask tho: is it possible to replace the models and sounds here? I modded my copy of Black Mesa 2012 and I am hoping that I can do the same for this one so as to keep consistency. Here's hoping that you'll reply. Thanks!
