WIN10 loaded a LOT of crap I not only never used, but have no intention of ever using - I was able to remove a small amount, but there's a LOT they still installed by default, even after you opt' out of everything one can! Heck, even after the minimal install possible, I STILL had to go in and clean up, remove, or disable a lot of the default settings!

Maybe the brightness issue could be solved by rapidly shading and unshading the glasses. if the user could tune the flicker frequency it might solve the issue letting them see high contrast and see-through at the same time.

It's just another marketing ploy. None of the phones have ever been fairer than other phones, they just tweak the definition of the word fair to shoehorn it into the claims made. The swapping of component to upgrade the phone never worked, the parts availability for previous models de facto ends when a new model is introduced. There wasn't supposed to be a new model to begin with, the phone was going to be upgradable with new technology. In the end you just drop it in a drawer, like you did with the previous models from other brands. I actually liked Windows 8.1. At least once I installed the ClassicShell Start menu. Used it much like Windows 7 and found it to be smoother, faster, and more optimised than 7. Then Windows 10 came along, and it felt so much more bloated on the same hardware. Now, just when they finally got 10 to work, there's Windows 11, which doesn't even like my hardware without certain workarounds that saves me loads of money not having to buy completely new hardware. So many things missing and incomplete compared to 10, certainly not "feature complete". Then they announce 12... ...may go Linux.

Most of all your "AI" needs to be personal, on point, and timely. If it lags more that 0.10 seconds, people will hate it. It needs to learn you fast. It needs to have your last 100 searches on tap with new results already linked for sharing on demand. It needs to learn you in hours and know what you want before you do. It needs to see the network of interactions in your life and be prepared to support you in managing the simple day to day automatically while also, gracefully carrying you through the challenging stuff. I should push your attention forward towards your life, and interactions with other people, rather than monopolize your attention to sell you crap. It should make you more human, not less, and as it promotes your humanity, it should inspire you to be humane. It needs to not be a tool to reduce human life to a data commodity. If fact it needs to address happiness, privacy, relationship, and community in ways that grow the person, and make them better expressions of themselves. It should be your teacher, best friend, greatest advocate, counselor, priest, encyclopedia galactica, lawyer, heath guide, wingman, promoter, planner, fiduciary, and "Girl Friday" on tap 24/7. Build that, and you won't be able to keep them on the shelf. Start with children. The existing technology is destroying their normal development, lets raise the next batch with technology that makes them healthy and successful.

I have a mac and a windows pc, and I almost always prefer to use windows since I have more control of what I do. Also, I know I can update my laptop (pc) whenever it becomes necessary (ram, and SSD), I can't do that on my M1 Mac since everything is soldered to the mainboard, I will be forced to buy a new one when that time comes. I can work and game on my pc but can't do that with my MacBook pro. I do think that video and photo editors are more apple customers, but for enterprise use is mostly a PC arena. I work on a a big Tech Telecomm company that has 60k+ employees, and 95% of them use windows PC's for daily work.
