yes im glad that little known fact is geting to the surface - most if not all returning russian POW's were gulagid ,just to be on the safe side - you can never trust someone, that hase seen blue jeans and chewing gum - just look whot happened when the east Germans, heard rock and roll for the first time the USSR collapsed - putin would be wise to just kill, all the returning russian POWs before they tell the truth, of the situation , putin would know, from his KGB background, that freedom is a disease, in the land of, the slave.

While I can see the pain his Sister is in ..... she is lucky to be able to see her Brother's face. Many Ukrainian's are now dead and their loved ones will never again see their faces ...... I see her pain ... but I feel nothing seeing her in tears. It's not her fault and many Russian's were lied to and forced to come to Ukraine .... but, if they can only know the truth, they would run away and surrender.

Stumbled across this interview today, fasinating to see this. Incredible to see how he wants to admit what they are doing is wrong because they know it is and want to be free from captivity but that he is programmed so much to belive the opposite and will easily fall back into this when he goes home. Hopfully he will have a lot of questions in his mind but he may not ask them, lets hope he does when he is "free".

i have seen 100 of these interviews, its the same bewilderment - they realy are just like children that have been tort to be vicious and stupid , i originally, just watched, so as to not lose my humanity, as i watched uncut un-bleared war footage of them being killed - but now i feel differently about them - now if i see them burrowing, in to Ukrainian soil , i have a relief when they start geting exploded - to stupid and vicious to live, like Pitbull terrier pups, best if they weren't born in the first place. but if they must cum to die and be put out of their misery and in so doing enrich the good Ukrainian soil . hopefully some of their wasted blood ,will plant a new seed in the russian soul/mind.

Thinking dude, suprisingly knew about war in 39 but didnt know about 41 as russians usually know about "heroic 41 patrotic war", but didnt fight with the fought and actually was interested in hearing more.

Let me understand. His grandfather was born in Lvov and in 1939 was taken prisoner by the Germans. Does this mean he was in the Polish army? Then when he got back home, the Soviets were already there and decided he was a spy. Send him to 10 years of hard labour. Or did he first fight for the Red Army too? Was too afraid to tell his family all the details. PS i believe Ukraine's NATO prospects are now much better. They are quickly adopting NATO standards. But to enter the alliance, they would first have to settle any border disputes with all neighbours.

@@UserUser-ww2njHis grandfatrher would have been Polish in '39 but as a child he woulde have been Austrian. After '39 the USSR annexed the area so his grandfather (as his father told him about it) must have decided to try to join the victors by enlisting in the Red Army. He being then taken for a spy wasn't personal - all Soviet soldiers who had been in German prisoner of war camps got 10 years in the gulag when they came home.

Nazi Germany and the USSR was NOT allies, they had a non agression pact, and a sidedeal to carve up Poland, thats it, there was no alliance, an alliance means mutual support, no such thing ever happend ! Infact Germany supported Finland actively during this time, working directly against USSR's interests !

@@carelgoodheir692 Right, facts dont matter. This is how Hamas and Israel are actually in an alliance, since Israel deliberately allowed Hamas to become the dominant force in Gaza, and then continued the policy of radicalizing the civilian population, securing Hamas stranglehold. Hamas wanted power, Israel wanted an easily identifiable enemy, that would provide it with a readymade excuse to steal more land. Clearly an alliance, and not two parties padding eachothers back shortterm, only to find where the knife was to go in !

They also exchanged raw materials and war industrial equipment from 1939-1941, including aircraft and tanks. Maybe not alliance in the sense they were called to mutual defense, but they certainly were not enemies until Hitler invaded.
