If Florida kept all their players - Pitts, Toney, Grimes, Copeland, Shawn Davis, Tederral Slayton, Ventral Miller, shoe throwing Wilson, Florida could of won that game. Defense is trash, but NO way Oklahoma would keep Florida from scoring points with the offense it had that year. Oklahoma had decent defense, but Florida would scored easily if it had all its playmakers.

The only reason the Sooners even make the playoffs is because the chokelahoma Sooners play in that weak sauce conference call the big 12. Hell, if LSU was in the big 12 LSU would be in the bcs ever year as well. By the way LSU has won 3 national championships since 2004, and we beat the Sooners in 2004 and 2020 to win those titles. So we didn’t actually come out from know were. The Sooners don’t have enough goons to compete in the SEC, so please drive in the slow lane next time!

LSU may have had one of the greatest offenses in CFB history, but Oklahoma giving up 49 in the FIRST HALF is inexcusable. Hurts playing like crazy despite the huge deficit is the only reason the Sooners didn't lose even worse. LSU really should have hung 70 on them, maybe more than that.

This may have been the UGLIEST major bowl or semifinal I have ever seen (other than maybe TCU-Ole Miss). Even Florida State kept the Rose Bowl vs Oregon competitive for more than a half. This was over midway through the second quarter.

Ou fan here: I'd like em to stop putting us in the playoffs it's embarrassing. We did play Georgia well but other than that nothing but face palms. This Lsu team is the greatest team in history (although I've only been statting up @ watching since the legendary kick tip touchdown at Nebraska) but I saw this coming all year I knew Lsu was going to win it all @ I was hoping Ou would get Ohio State or Clemson in game one so we would only lose by 3 or 4 touchdowns instead of getting railroaded by Lsu...props to y'all

The SEC is KNOWN for their defense, and the BIG 12 is known for their all offense and no defense. So when it comee to these bowl games, theres not even a comparison. SEC dominates the BIG 12 schools every year. And every year, these big 12 schools get SO overhyped. Im sorry, but the big 12 Has gotten much less competitive.

Tbf Oklahoma for the most part has competed in their playoff games (other than this one) they just can’t get past the first round. Notre Dame has one appearance and never had a chance from the start.

I'm 60 roll tide but this LSU team was probably the best ever kinda on a limb there but once they started the championship run in about game 7 they just got better & better they did not just win they crushed & embarrassed some very good teams like the person said the players from this game in the pro's is crazy

That was a rematch from the 2003 Sugar Bowl and LSU Beat Them Again. LSU had Nick Saban, Kyle Williams, Andrew Whitworth, Eric Edwards, Matt Mauck, Justin Vincent, and Michael Clayton. Oklahoma had the 2003 Heisman Trophy Winner Jason White in the 2003 Sugar Bowl at the Louisiana SuperDome.
