@@JayPatrol yes I do. I recommend YTTV for people who want a premium live TV service and are just switching from cable. It’s a pretty easy learning curve. But personally I don’t need a live TV service year round - only for about 6 months.

I'm sick of that stupid commercial they constantly show here on UKposts with Megan Mullally talking to her daughter about her sex toy . Am I the only adult who thinks they need to STOP SHOWING IT on so many channels that any kid could be looking at ? I feel they are gross and have no decency . It would be great if somebody made a video about that ... a one minute video ?

@@MichaelSaves If you were to start a live TV streaming service, would you include every feature that Hulu live, and other services normally charge you for? Such as unlimited streams, multiview, unlimited cloud DVR, and regional sports networks. All in a base plan price of about $50 plus tax

Here is my two cents. I’m not a fan of the UI per se, but I had Paramount plus and friendly TV. The savings add up at least for me without having to pay for three services at once. I’m saving almost $25-$30 a month and the Disney bundle is included which I watch a lot of ESPN plus. I would love to see the UI get revamped, and an additional screen, but adding unlimited DVR was a Christmas wish (granted Christmas is over six months away). For the value my bill comes to $75 a month. Well worth it

If you're on a budget & at least have internet service, get a Roku device & add the free channels available to that medium. Most of the main networks have programming that's free without a TV service after 8 days past a show's live broadcast. There are also several independent channels offering up some free live TV.

I recently switched to Hulu Live from Sling and Philo. I may switch back. Hulu continuously exits out to Firestick Home Page. I also like Sling and Philo setup better. I wanted the Local Live and Sports Live. I can go back to my antenna for local live. Nice having on same App. I want live sports though.

My biggest issue is the endless ads even though you pay for the ad free package and 2) not being able to change your home location. I went away for a month, ended up having to change hotels once and by the time I came back, I had used 3 changes. Now I am away for a month later this year and can't change my home location.

if only there was a streaming service that allowed choosing of just the channels you wanted. 95% of the channels on any streaming package are utter garbage, yet we're forced to pay for all of them, just to get the few we really care about. better yet - pay per minute. for example, i watch ESPN occasionally, but i can go days without tuning in. but i have to pay as if i was watching it all the time.

I can click on show details and then hit record, but there's no new only or new & reruns tab to click on. No live TV tab to click on at the top of the page either.

I got interested in Hulu Live and was considering changing from UKposts TV. Until I found that they do not cover NPR. Big deal for me. I need NPR to DVR may programs that I am interested in. Too bad. Hope it gets added (without additional cost of course).

Hello Michael. I am interested in signing up but the Hulu website is a bit vague about the free trial period. Is it true that if I sign up for Hulu bundle and Live TV, I automatically get the 30 days free trial then my credit would be charged 30 days from the day I activate this service? If you cannot stand not being able to fast forward commercials then this service is absolutely not for you. You are loaded with both Hulu’s commercial “breaks (3min)” and commercials from the programming. They have the audacity to call this commercial free.

I think they have definately become a much better value with the inclusion of the Disney bundle and the unlimited DVR, but the lack of the MLB, NBA and NHL networks means that there are a lot of games I would miss out on. IMO it's a much better value and definately worth a look if you are dropping cable and looking for a cable replacement service which will probably cost less than cable. If you are a fan of the big 4 American sports, I still think that UKposts tv is a better choice.

I made the switch to Hulu+ Live TV because I was willing to pay more to get what I wanted. So far, that $70/month price tag is looking pretty good to get ALL of my local channels, plus the Disney+ Bundle and be able to record my favorite shows and hold them for up to 9 months, plus have On Demand shows too? I'll take this every time. I thought I was doing something with UKposts TV, but I realized that was the experiment to figure out what I wanted when I cut the cord. Speaking of YTTV, there's one thing I would love Hulu+ Live TV to be able to do like YTTV: Customize the guide. I want to be able to have the guide set the way I want to with my local channels at the top of the list. Other than that, I'm highly pleased with Hulu+ Live TV so far.

I have been a Hulu customer ever since they offered a free tier. When they did away with the free part, I subscribed to the tier that included advertisements and have been satisfied. I recommended it to many people. The price h changed, several times but has been a good deal for me. The first thing that irked me was when CBS decided to make its own streaming service and pulled their content from Hulu. The CW did that too, but offered a free service of their own. Now, I find that NBC is pulling the best content, New Amsterdam, La Brea, the Orville and Quantrum Leap, putting it on Peacock so If I want to see all the content, I must buy a package of Disney, Hulu+ and Peacock for about what I paid for cable before I cancelled it. I have the feeling that the other TV stations will become greedy too and start their own streaming services that will requite a monthly charge. Cable isn't available where I live and I live on a fixed income. I may need to let Hulu go and only rely on the free apps on Roku and my antenna. Hulu was perfect, but now, it is being parted out.

Totally agree. I'm in the same boat & never paid for the cable or satellite services. I just discovered recently that some of my favorite shows have been switched to the pay TV service on HULU when they were available for streaming the next day for years! All the Chicago shows (Fire, PD & Med) & The Voice are some of those that now has me PI**ED off! Seems all these viewing platforms are run by greedy SC**BAGS!

Couldn't agree with this more. The idea of cord cutting sounds amazing on paper, but the reality is now every single station has it's own live streaming programing. I tried a different live streaming program where I could get AMC which was amazing. After a couple of months, I put my streaming on hold for 3 months just to save some money, and then when I re-joined, AMC was completely gone and the CW only allowed limited viewing and not recording of their programing. I have been trying to find something else that encompasses all the channels I enjoy, but everyone is now getting greedy (in my view---it's their programing, they can of course so what they want) and wanting us to pay for their own services, but there isn't much value in that if you say only like 1 or 2 programs and nothing else is included by selective streaming like that. It completely ruins the point of cord cutting because now you need Hulu, and Netflix, and an add on sports package, and add on cloud, and additional fees associated with some channels, and then to stream with 4 different services which would all add up to like $150/month all told. Where is the savings in that?

Hulu needs to either fix their buffering issues or lower the price. I've always had buffering issues with them and have 500 mbps download speed. I'm shopping for a different streaming service.

Depends what type of sports. I have a video that compares DTV Stream, UKposts TV and Hulu Live. I would check that out first! UKposts TV works for most. But it doesn’t have regional sports networks.

I’ve tried YTTV, Philo,Sling, Fubo and DTV Stream. I’ve had Hulu + Live for about a week now. I have a Sony 65A80J with an Apple TV 4K. The ATV is hardwired to my modem/router - Frontier fiber 1G. I haven’t seen any cord cutter reviews on which service has the best live content resolution. HL has by far THE BEST picture of all services.

NBCSN is gone, yes. Hulu Live just didn't update that part of its website. NBC is moving content from NBCSN to USA and Peacock.

That 2 stream at once is a deal breaker for me. With YTTV every user is allow 3 steams at once so in a family plan of 6 people that's up to 18 streams total! All for only $65 or less.

I believe that the 3 stream limitation with UKposts tv applies whether you have 1 user profile or 6. If you want MORE streams, you have to get the 4k add-on for $19.99, which allows unlimited streams in addition to the 4k capability. Hulu also has an add-on for unlimited streams I believe.

I even tested this out myself. At first I thought it was 3 steams for the whole family but it wasn't. I have my own family plans but I know of others that are on a different family plan at around 5+ different addresses and they don't have an issue with this. They're not paying for the 4K add-on as well.

No TV service is worth $70 or half that. The major streaming services all want too much for their live TV now. I did realize that I was able to add NBC to my Roku & can now watch most of my favorite shows for free from that network. The fact that I can do that at all means HULU's move to try to manipulate customers to pay for live TV was a CR*P move!

You don't need an antenna if the streaming service carries your locals. Some of them (Sling, Philo) don't have your locals.

Something weird I've noticed is that with Hulu Live, even if I have a show set to record new episodes and reruns, it won't record the new episodes or reruns automatically, which is something UKposts TV did. Not a huge deal, but it is kind of annoying to manually press record for everything you wanna save to your DVR

I too finally dumped Comcast Cable TV due to ridiculous price increases and other reasons I too long to get into here. I have HBO Max and Disney as well. Getting my feet wet I went with UKposts TV first as they had a free 2 week trial and then $50.00 off the first month, a no brainer. I also signed on with the Hulu bundle which incorporated my Disney subscription which does save me some money. I'm not a sports fanatic so I could care less about ESPN. I wish I could knock it off for a little price saving. Any ways, I want to stick with Hulu over YT TV but I find it very very difficult trying to figure out and use their DVR recording. I want to record new programs only not reruns and the entire series for the season. It is so confusing to me (and I have read many others complain as well) that i'm thinking of just throwing my hands up and quitting Hulu. Are there ant simple step by step guides/instructions that would ease the pain? I do enjoy your videos since finding them here. Thank you for all your input.

The problem with hope is a lot of time it doesn't pay out. So we hope Disney+ is going to actually become worth it. But until they actually put out stuff on a regular bases, and it is stuff most want to watch. Then I will assume it isn't worth it outside of sub for a month, watch whatever show, unsub.

For a directv dvr service and 2 tv's at the lowest classic plan(that has been discontinued) I paid $130 a month.I liked the idea of youtube tv but the dvr service sucks,you have all these episodees that stay in your list and you can't delete also you get all shows not just new.

They are setting home locations because there is a limit for on the go watching to avoid service sharing because that’s profit loss and they don’t like when people share passwords and service share

Philo is a really good little service, and is worth every dime of its $25 price tag, IF you don't care about live news and sports. In a recent video where Michael was interviewing the CEO of Philo, he responded to one of my posts where I talked about not being able to browse the guide while the channel you were watching continues to play in the background. He said that you can now browse while watching on the app on ROKU devices, and they were working on getting the updated app on other devices, including Samsung smart tvs. Along with the UNLIMITED DVR with 1 year of retention, Philo may be the best live service for the money.

It’s hit and miss with Philo I don’t think it’s really live. You go to a Channel and it’s almost morning abut the same show likes it’s a marathon.

Philo is great if you don't care about local channels. I really want local channels, but Philo already said they can't get Local channels because they want too much money and they refuse to do that to their customers. So I can appreciate that! I really want local channels though and the Antennas I get can't pick up anything in my area sadly.

Yeah it's for people who want cable, but still cheaper. No contracts, no fees. It's much better than cable if you want live tv. Idk what cable company you use that is only $70. I paid over $100 for cable before I cut the chord.

@@MichaelSaves Yes, I have the Hulu app, I've tried to uninstall and update, sign out and back in... I had the regular version and added live TV, but there's no "live TV" option... It's still just the regular Hulu but there's a record option when I go to my show, still no live TV. It's there on my phone. And my bedroom Roku (older version) but not my new one.

Americans don’t know how good they have it. 70 bucks per month is a bargain, especially with ESPN plus included. A similar package in Canada would be at least double that because ESPN plus includes the nhl package which is 200 bucks here. Hulu live is an absolute bargain no brainer

It's unlimited now and saved for 9 months. It used to be 50 hours. I said all of this in the video. Not sure I understand your comment.

Why do you assume anyone would want to sign up for this? I don't have any of the expensive live services, because they're expensive! You don't get to choose the programming & get a lot of channels you will never watch & a lot that are basically redundant/copies of other channels included. I got the 1-year streaming that I will NOT be renewing next year for 2 reasons. 1 the price increase & 2 the fact that Hulu recently removed some of the shows I usually watch, such as The Voice & all the Chicago shows Fire, PD & Med! I'd have to PAY EXTRA for live TV to see them now, which is CR*P! Greedy S.O.*>s
