I have a strong feeling that the big teams will again find best solutions and get away from the rest quite quickly. But if these changes result in at least 4 teams fighting for the race wins, or 3-4 drivers fighting for the championship, it will be a step forward and a great thing to see.

In 2021 the championship introduced a sliding scale system to regulate aerodynamic testing. Under this system, the least successful teams in the previous year's World Constructors' Championship standings will be given additional time for aerodynamic testing. Conversely, the most successful teams will be given less time to complete testing. The system was trialled in 2021 with the results used to create a more formal, structured and steeper model for the 2022 championship.[

@@elvincitore1512 Cost cap is a big thing. But i think its eazy for them to get around it. Like mercedes has a "mother team" which can put money into R&D and give the information to Mercedes Racing. I don't think that counts under the cost cap
@ThatCrazyKid0007
@ThatCrazyKid0007 2 роки тому
In every sport you have the big teams and the smaller teams even when money isn't so much a factor. I would curb my expectations for the championship though, what we need to see is these cars actually able to fight and race one another, especially without DRS assistance. If some team pulls away with a brilliant design and wins with ease, so be it that's F1 in spirit, but the rules should allow for teams to catch up easier even if someone pulls away so in 2-3 years time we might see the championship you're hoping for. I wouldn't expect more than 3 race winning capable teams on merit if even that and a strong one or two midfield teams with essentially a two team and two driver title fight. The midfield should be closer together though, so we might not have 2-3 de facto backmarkers anymore, but again I wouldn't get my hopes up yet.

agree the wheels on this look dumb. why have such large diameter tyres when the wheels you use make it look like the old fat chunky tires?
@temujinbonnick3796
@temujinbonnick3796 2 роки тому
@@howdareyou41 fair but what I meant was that they have used wheel covers on the cars before like the speed tail so theoretically they should have the better wheel covers.
@DoubleSama

@@howdareyou41 The larger wheel diameters and thinner tires make it so they get up to temperature faster and stay at temperature better. This will lessen the impact of being on "cold tires" when starting a race or coming out of the pits. Also, tire warmers are being phased out in a few years.

I am stunned that this video was published 10 days ago and only 300k views. This is a MUST SEE for every F1 fan! Sam nails it. You can noticed how excited he is for the final results. The pre-season testing will be the most anticipated ever. I actually want to go there! xD

Well in close fighting you can always bump the guy in front of the track and then deal with the 10sec penalty.

The car looks fantastic, but it very difficult to see clearly with such poor lighting. You could fix it slightly in post, but it really needs better lighting so we can fully appreciate the details. Would be cool to see underneath as well, so if and when you reshoot it maybe u could put it on a ramp.

You must improve the lighting on this type of presentation. Either light up the room or focussing lighting on what you are describing.

It seems like a lot of the structural differences of these cars will be hidden so on a surface level, they make look quite similar apart from different liveries of course
