I’m watching this now vaccinated and very emotional about how terrible this pandemic has been for so many people and i am so thankful for all healthcare workers that have saved so many lives.

I know it’s so sad seeing people act like this but u wanna hear a nice story? Last night there was a really bad car accident at around 1 am right by our house and it was beautiful to see at least 6/7 people other than my husband and I running out to help them.. there were people screaming and crying and nobody cared about the virus .. we all got together and helped. It made me feel better about humanity seeing all of us come together in a time of horror and need 💛

How can people be mad at grocery store workers? The poor people are just doing the best they can with what they have. I feel for them. Just like i feel for medical workers. This is just hard for everyone. We're all confused and reeling and upset with the situation. Since we're all in the same boat, let's encourage each other and bring some positivity to each other's days. Keep your distance, yes. Don't shake hands, yes. Stay home, yes. But if you do go grocery shopping, look people in the eye, smile and maybe even ask the person ahead of you in line how they're doing. Tell the grocery store worker to keep their heads up. We will get through this. Let this bring out the best in us as best it can.

I asked when another shipment was and the poor stock boy just walked by me with haunted eyes. I felt so bad for him.

Several different points: 1) People need one another so the phrase “social distancing” should be replaced with “physical distancing”. As long as there are phones and technology to keep in touch, opera singers on balconies or waves across the street. We need all of that more than ever. It’s the kind of mammals we are. Let’s say physical distancing and safe social connecting in whatever safe way we can. 2) I agree with Meghan’s statement about the very poor performance of the Trump administration. Very well put. But that is NOT the same as distrust in government. Some of us are fortunate to have great local governments who are working overtime to be clear, honest and fact based. As a blue state person on the left coast we are proud of our people who have been public servants in every sense of those words. The contrast with Trump and the Republican Party couldn’t be more stark. 3) Maybe yelling at service people is an East coast thing? Haven’t seen any of it in our community. Kind of the opposite --but then none of us are going out much. 4) Those under 60 should not hoard. But those over 60 may need more proportionally because they do not know when they will get out of their homes or safely get another thing. If you’re part of the demographic that is predicted to have mild to no symptoms, it’s a different kettle of fish to go grocery shopping than that one of five of you may die indicated for vulnerable populations. There may be no relief from anxiety for older folks until there is an available vaccine. That’s a long time to manage and worry about risking your life to get supplies.

The sad thing is my partner works in the restaurant industry as a salaried manager and was told they would be on furlough for the next 14 days maybe longer and would not be paid full salaries and could apply for unemployment which in Georgia is 300.00 a week which is not even half his salary there has to be more that can be done for those type of workers as the bill that is out no covers companies with 500 employees or less

I don’t know what it’s like in NYC, but in Texas I haven’t seen anyone being rude to any service people. School are closed, large gatherings are cancelled, and people are buying more than they need. But other than that everything is fine.

Speaking of the panic , my friend is an old veteran who served in the Navy and is now 63 years old. She lives in Wyoming. She has had the Corona virus for two months and only recently when she got better. According to her words, had experienced all the symptoms of this virus before she finally got well. Senior people! Don't panic it is not deadly if you take your precautions seriously !

Canada has enabled income relief for those quarantined and mortgage relief with differed payments up to 6 months for those affected. And of course free testing and treatment as part of Universal healthcare. My employer also said we can work from home if we wish and if we're field staff we can use our short term disability. It's gone a long way to calming nerves. Gonna isolate for 14 days just to help the situation even though I don't have it.

This is a good time to get involved in your neighborhoods. Make sure people who cannot get out have supplies and food or just let people know that people care.

I agree! I'm a cashier at a pharmacy... We don't even want to come in because customers are constantly being disrespectful while we're there risking our health... And we don't have a choice because self quarantining or social distance will cause retail workers to potentially become homeless because we don't get paid for isolation... So be nice! This happening to all of us... Everyone who is out there working with the public really just want to be safe at home with their families. And for once I agree with Megan... Don't be selfish... We younger folks are carriers of the virus and it can kill our parents and grandparents uncles and aunts...so be considerate! ❤️

When I was a Clerk for a pharmacy, I would get yelled at for not having specific cigarettes in stock.

Don't hoard, don't price gouge. In my area, stores are limiting how much people can buy of one item, like toilet paper. When someone buys huge amounts, like cases and pallets, I suspect they are mainly buying these things to resell at a higher price somewhere else. This could be regulated. The government had to do this during the World Wars. Rationing kept things fair.

The only thing Corona Virus gave us one good thing: SARA HAINES. Wow it literally took a pandemic to get my girl back.

I typically buy a lot of toilet paper any way. I typically buy enough at one time that will hold my family of 3 over for a couple months.

When the people that didn't buy toilet paper before the nationwide quartine happens and are stuck on the toilet with nothing to wipe, they'll understand why toilet paper is a necessity.

I loved seeing Sara on the show. She is such a sweetheart...I miss her. I guess this pandemic won’t be over soon but I really wish people would calm down. Being spastic is not helping it just makes matters so much worse. I do have to say on a positive note standing in a very long line at Costco (worse than Christmas lines) it was great talking to other shoppers. Usually on a normal day most people say hi but not have a conversation...it was fun.

I am a nurse. We medical professionals are on the frontlines. I had a coworker say that we’re basically going into battle with faulty shields, as people have hoarded hand sanitizer, surgical masks, and N95 respirators. I understand that people want to protect themselves. I can’t fault people for buying supplies, but they are hoarding. This is tremendously affecting us. Those of you who can, please donate some unused supplies to hospitals and clinics. We are desperately in need!

My workplace has been closed for the next three weeks. Thankfully, I still have one more paycheck plus a fair amount put away in savings for instances like this. Though not everyone is as fortunate. What I am concerned about is the massive hoarding of basic, needed supplies. My local Target restocked on toilet paper yesterday morning. It was all gone in an hour and a half. Produce and canned goods are getting hard to find. It’s a madhouse out there.
