This song carries a very strong meaning and i think it should be heard by everyone. It's an eye opener to toxicity and abuse in relationships, and personally I can say it helped me realize that as much as we love someone, sometimes we have to let that person go, for our own good. I hope this song saves lives and helps people out there who are suffering from abusive relationships, often without being aware of it. To Alec, thank you for sharing this song with us, it's much more than a song!

I was abused by three men. Each differently. Never thought I would find a guy that would love me and not hurt me. I got married September 2022 and I always fear it'll happen again because I'm not an easy person to love. But he knows my past and history and doesn't do anything to hurt me. I love this song and dance.

As a dv survivor/unaliving attempt survivor that resulted in 🧠 surgery, fibro, ptsd, backwards neck alignment & homelessness. Don't wait until it's too late. If I left at the first intuition..it would have changed my entire life. We lost all belongings, my health, the ability to have children, and the chance at a life where I can dance, jump on a trampoline with my kids, or have 1 day without excruciating pain. Life will never be the same for me. If you needed a sign..let this be it. You can do it. I wanted to be a dancer... this video brought me to tears. 💜

I have been listening to Alec's music for a few years now and I have to say that each of his songs, all have that unique feel to them that bring such raw emotions to the surface that it isn't even believable. In all of my life I have continued to search for something to bring me peace and to brighten up my day and I have to say that it was hard to do something like that, but in all of that searching, one thing I did find, was that it is basically impossible to have something in life that will no matter what bring you happiness. And I remember the days after that where I was sad all day long, regretting life and just feeling horrible. But then, I remember I was moping about on UKposts, and I somehow stumbled upon Alec's music. The first ever song of his I heard was "If We Have Each Other". At first I was about to skip it because I thought it was just another pointless song, but then I start to listen to the actual lyrics, I start hearing things that I could feel. I remember starting to cry a little and think about how dumb I have been. Sitting and regretting life, wasting my time instead of enjoying it. Then I remember desperately scouring the internet looking for who this guy was and if he had other songs or if he was a one hit wonder who made one good song and then fell. The thing I found was that Alec, was a genuine Musician. Alec was someone who was real in his music, someone who put soul in his music and actually feels his music, and that was the type of music that I wanted to listen to. I know that since that day, I have become someone who does more, feels more, and enjoys things more. Honestly, I just want to say that Alec is an amazing artist, has been an amazing beacon of love, and hope and i wanted to thank him for all that he has done, and all that he will do. I really hope his career explodes as a musician and he becomes someone my kids could look up to. But, I just wanted to say Thank you, and I will always love you and your music.
