That is why the iPhone and iPad sells well (usually). They have a suave British guy (Jonathan Ive) explain the hardware and software. Plus they usually work as they should and update faster than Android and Windows phone. End of comment. Lol! 👽 Owner of the iPhone 5c and the Samsung Galaxy S5.👽

Thanks for the video. It's clear and to the point. I like it. On topic: interesting. So BT isn't goud for file transfers since it is very slow. I thought it would be much faster, but I guess that would require more power which is something they are trying to avoid.

+Garysims great video, thanks for the video. when you say Bluetooth 5 consumes less power when compared with 4, do you mean power per bit of data transferred or something else. I'm asking this because you also said that Bluetooth 5 is much faster, does being faster neutralize the efficiency gain?

Hey Gary! Question: Do you need a BT 5 cell to receive the new BT 5 255 char URL/codes from a BT 5 beacon? Or can a BT 5 beacon simply send the 255 char lines to any BT 4 cell as well? Thanks!

So if we have a device with bluetooth 5.0 connected to a headset that's Bluetooth 5.0 it's then we'll see the difference? Samsung S9 has bluetooth 5 and the new LG ultra hbs835 has bluetooth 5, will there be a difference?

I have a Pixel 2 and Phiaton BT 220 Bluetooth headphones with version 4.0 and aptX. Should I bother buying new headphones with 4.2 or 5.0? I just listen to music and my phone is always close.

i think it will be great for clearer voice conversation codec over a Bluetooth headsets streaming a live Bluetooth video freed to beacon ,also adds and store promotions via beacon maybe a standard building navigation app

Pocket Gaming if you think that's sad. Samsung have provided no software support to be able to use any Bluetooth 5. It has the hardware but you can't use it. you'll likely have to wait until Android O until it can be used.

Gary it's been about 20 years since I was in a classroom for math but I'm fairly certain that < Power means more power and > Speed & Range means less speed and range. Now if you had put Power < Then that would mean less power.

The thing is that you can transmit information to look up on the internet. then why wouldn't you Just instal a WiFi router in each store. wich you can use for the information needed without the limited space. I mean i have my bleutooth shut down most of the time just because it's a easy unesesary way to get your cellphone broken into. while if i am in a store and want to look something up i would look for a public WiFi router so i would put my WiFi on for a few minutes.

Bluetooth 5 doesn't bring anything new in terms of Bluetooth Audio as that is part of the Bluetooth Classic, which is the same in 5 as in 4. Just buy the speaker now.

Isn't it awkward since demand for Bluetooth speakers are insane but all those lack in transferring Hi Res Audio thus cannot compete with WiFi or Apple Airplay. Bluetooth 5 was a chance to address this problem by bringing extra speed but now you're telling that speakers wont be benefiting from this upgrade. That really doesn't make sense to me.
