definitely making it is harder. Can always work and save up for a keycap. But these skills... needs hundreds of hours of practice and refining.

awesome! could you explain a little bit in detail the pink mold part? I'm struggling to find a way to join the 3dprinted parts with the transparent resin

It looks as if the bottom (stem) side of there mold has tabs to keep the piece being encapsulated in place while it is upside down. It seems weird, some other creators have sprue rods that pull through the base and the resin will vent around the rods. I hope that makes sense. 🤪

I was wondering how they make the stem of these dwarf keycaps. Did they print the design with the stem or did they print the design then pour resin to create the stem ? the latter version is a bit hard to do wasnt it? it tends to get out of place when you our resin, the stem and the design may get out of place, I guess.

I have a few questions; What 3D sculpting program is that? What type of 3D printer did you use? Will the clear epoxy change color over time? Can you just 3D print a keycap and not have to use epoxy?

They use a sla resin printer then paint it and encapsulate it in clear resin. Yes you can just print keycaps. Just pick a material with a strong shore hardness.

@@bennemann not mine, there's several artisan keycaps type out there, sculpted and resin are two of many. This particular one can be a good sculpted artisan but no he turn it into full Resins.
