Elephants are very smart and are known to play tricks on handlers, wildlife photographers, conservationists, and tourists. Just make sure that when you go up close to one you’re with a person who knows that it’s safe.

There is a video of a native Hawaiian praying over a Monk Seal... police were called because they considered it harassing a monk seal, which they have a law against. Even though the man had walked away and was leaving... he was beaten mercilessly by the responding officer... the man did not resist... just took the beating Stoically, until he collapsed to the ground where the beating continued.

@Kyotra , Look it up before you embarrass yourself. And how is it not relevant? Someone claiming it is a wholesome story... and I provide an example that demonstrates it isn't entirely so. It also highlights the tendency of government to go too far... which is a very real occurrence that needs be addressed, rather than pretending it was all a wholesome endeavor.

It seems to be pretty common. I was in a beach hotel in La Jolla, San Diego, and the beach had a "forbidden side" marked by signs where seals were living. Humans on one side, seals on the other. Very nice. In the water some seals would get somewhat closer, but despite being very cute, one has to remember that they are still wild animals and they deserve respect, for their and your own good.

The flower delivery brought back a memory of when I was in high school, about 1970, our group was delivering food gift baskets to families who had little to nothing. In this one neighborhood, we tried to deliver to someone who wasn't home, had to leave it with their neighbors, and we were devastated as they had nothing either. Fortunately, on the second car load of the day their basket was there. They were the most thankful and wonderful family, and we were all so blessed to see them happy.

Incredibly sad. Those extreme breeds are never healthy, other dogs don't understand them and it causes problems, further agrevated because such extreme breeds also tend to be pretty dumb and they don't communicate well with other dogs. It makes chihuahuas incredibly agressive towards other dogs.
